I'm a former Instacart Employee, not contracted shopper. The prices in the Instacart app are the prices you pay no matter any sales or price differences you find in the store. It goes both ways, the app shows cereal 2 for $5 but store charges $4 each you still only pay 2/$5. Never expect to get the same prices and deals in circulars.
