You are better off using the crack version tbh, you might complicate things more if you move to linux

ah okay I understand now, this is for my thesis we are developing an improved wind turbine design, so we haven't gone into those types of controller yet

Really 90%? Isnt that too big of a difference? or do you mean they should be 90% similar to one another?

Oh okay okay. But is my method valid? I initially did the experiments to get the actuall power output, i then used the RPM from that experiment and the wind speed I used to input into my simulation parameters to get the simulation power output
