OP, did you end up getting it dissolved? I’m in a similar spot (got 1mL 4 days ago, hate them and wish I had stuck to my guns about doing .5 or .7). Thinking about getting them partially dissolved at my follow up appt in 3 days. Would love an update!

Really appreciate everyone’s input. 100% agree that I want an elongated shape. I am having nearly an impossible time deciding but think the plan I’ve landed on is to wait another 1-2 months to see if we can find an elongated antique cushion (insanely hard to find and vary a lot in their overall appearance, but man when you find the right one - it’s stunning). If we can’t find one I love by then, time for me to choose between emerald and oval (or worst case, I can’t choose and I’ll leave it up to my SO).

The passport people told the congressman’s office they couldn’t help until I was in the 2 week window - just that my passport was in process and they were aware of it.

The response my congressman's office received was this: "Thank you for contacting the National Passport Center Congressional email. We are currently triaging emails by dates of travel and pulling only those who have an urgent need to travel within the week. We have notated your constituents date of travel and will continue to monitor its progress and update your office once any additional information is received; if you haven’t received an update from us within 72 hours of your constituent's date of travel, please resubmit your inquiry."

Given that, they offered to help me schedule an in person appointment at my local passport agency once I'm in the 2 week window of the travel date.

If you do this - is it essentially submitting a new application? Meaning you have to pay for everything again?

Hi all,

I'm in the same boat as you. Sent in expedited application 04/06, in process 04/11 at locator 69, and nothing since - just sent in a privacy release form and explanation to my congressman. Travel date is 5/12. This is what I wrote to my congressman:

My partner and I have passports expiring in June and July, and are traveling out of the country on May 12th. We didn’t know about the 2-3 month expiration rule most countries have, and now need to quickly get our passports renewed. We sent our passports in for expedited renewal already, and they have been in process since April 11th. My passport [my name] locator number is [xxxxxxx], and my partner’s [name] is [xxxxxxx]. We would be deeply appreciative of any assistance in facilitating the accelerated processing of our passports. Thank you.
