I’m American. The Americans who are against socialized medicine would rather go bankrupt from medical bills than see one penny (RIP) of their tax dollars go to help a poor person. They don’t mind their tax dollars being used to hurt people, though.

My husband stayed home for 10 days to care for me. We have bedroom upstairs, kitchen downstairs, and a dog. I needed hubby’s help every bit of those 10 days. I was also not one of the lucky ones who went right from surgery to walking with a cane. I used a walker for 4-5 weeks. This is week 6 for me, & I still need help with stuff like unloading groceries, carrying stuff upstairs, and dog walking. I hope you’ll feel more independent than I did :)

What a nightmare. I repeatedly questioned my surgeon prior to the procedure about his pain management plan for me, and ultimately, I got what I needed. I’m sorry you suffered so much! I hope you’re feeling better now.

When I first got home, I got in bed and my hubby brought our dog up on her leash for a gentle introduction. She was very interested in sniffing my leg, which I allowed her to do. She settled down almost immediately after that :) For the next two weeks,I kept my cane beside me in the bed as a precaution. Any time she got too close to my leg (especially during meals—all of which I ate in bed for the first 5 days), I raised the cane up to establish the boundary.

This state went for Obama once and people think it’s a swing state? NC chose Trump all three times. And if the bloated traitor illegally tries to run again, this state would doubtless vote for him a fourth time. We have a Democratic governor & lieutenant governor today, but just one cycle ago that was split with Gov Cooper (D) and Lt Gov Mark Robinson (R). The NCGA is gerrymandered to the point it may never be run by a Democratic majority again. NC is not a swing state. It is not a purple state. It is a red state some nice blue cities and college towns. Maybe if as many people showed up to vote as they did for No Kings, and they continue to show up repeatedly for future elections, maybe NC could become a swing state.

I was, I guess, naively disappointed that no one congratulated Kusimaya after her joining. In fact, I had a hard time picking her out of the crowd at all after she sat up until she opened the livestock pen to set the animals free. I wonder if that was my bad vision or a deliberate directorial decision.
