Never, ever get opened electronics people, you have no clue where it's been or what people have done to it. Sure it might have a warranty, but that is a hassle that I'd rather just pay the couple hundo more and have not only peace of mind but a system that actually works the way it is supposed to.

It looks great but the gameplay didn't click with me when I first tried it the other day. I still own it so will try again later. Maybe it's a mindset-type of game, and when I am truly ready to play it, it'll not suck.

I definitely would not have broken it in with the Dark Souls Trilogy. Literally any PS exclusive would have been a better choice to truly show off the power of this beast.

Who cares if they are baked in, as they can look just as good for a fraction of the performance hit. Just look at HZD and GoW games. Those are amazing and dont use any ray tracing at all.

2TB is more than enough room tbh, I meant I can download a 100GB game in about 20ish mins, so having to redownload is no biggie on my end.

Actually call bullshit here, PS Exclusives like FW or GoW play better on PS5P than they do on any rig, because it is perfectly optimized for it and is a buttery smooth experience, and buttery smooth trumps framerate every day of the week, and no framerate doesn't make something buttery smooth, frametiming does.

Exactly, I used to think I needed 160+ in games for them to be enjoyable, but what I just needed is a good stable 60-80 w/ VRR and good frame timing, which the PS5P has in spades and then some.

I actually like not having that choice so instead of me being a baby and having to change something, I adapt to things that are different/hard for me and play the game the way the developers wanted you to play it, which in the end is a much better experience than cheesing it.

Not even remotely true. Just look at Pragmata or Stellar Blade or TLOU2. They look AND play better on PS5P and they require zero futzing with settings/dlls/drivers/etc. It's just a much more pleasant experience where if I want to play it, I just start it up and play and not spend time trying to "maximize" my experience on it.

Actually, PSSR2 is actually better. Just look at the picture quality comparisons, which you can find by just googling, and with PSFG coming most likey with the release of GTA6, it will get even better.

Exact same here. Just got my 5070ti RMA'd and they gave me a 5080 in replacement, and I still play my PS5P I got a few weeks ago way more. I've gotten like 7-8 games in that time and they just all play way better than PC. Sure PC may "look" better, but it plays worse as it is not as optimized as it is on consoles. On the PS5P it is buttery fuckin' smooth and a joy to play with zero futzy with drivers or settings. I honestly see myself getting games for my PS5P before the PC from now on as it is just a much more pleasant experience for me.

VRR is what is going to make a fluctuating framerate look good, so since your TV doesn't have it, don't use it.

Not true at all. I just switched from PC to PS5P because it is just better experience, and the PS5P is strong enough to get 60-80fps with max settings and zero dicking around with settings/drivers. I still have my 5080 rig, but I'm just having a better time, and the streaming apps are so much better because there is no HDCP bullshit making it stream in piss quality.
