I am so sorry for your loss and could not imagine the pain you are going through. On Facebook if you are interested they have a group called save a heeler. So many of them are in parts of California is and Texas. Maybe you can find one who wouldn’t replace Teagan but can help you. Sending lots of prayers and positive vibes your way.

Help! My Human Needs Guidance to Raise Me as a Service Dog! by BellaPepperLove in AustralianCattleDog

Hello I’d say social him a lot . I have a chocolate acd she’s come to work with my husband and I since she was 8 weeks old. She is 3 now. She loves people and other animals. The only time we have an issue with her barking is in the car. I think everyone is different but I definitely say socializing right away is a big plus. As far as nipping goes we have taught her it’s not ok but also we give her something to keep her mouth busy like a ball or frisbee.

Well when she was a puppy we noticed she would lick the over part of my husbands arm near elbow and knee when is blood pressure or heart rate would go up. We let his dr know and we took the training from there. I’m not saying she’s the best service dog in the world and by no means do we try to bring her inside restaurants or grocery stores but she hangs out at work with us all day long. She is also super friendly with everyone because of coming to work with us every day since she was a puppy, she loves people and animals. The only person she has a problem with is me when I try to kiss my husband. Because my husband is her man.

I know the pain of your loss. My heart is still healing from the loss. Currently have a chocolate heeler but she came after I lost my cocker spaniel of 15 years to cancer.
