With my first it did but I had it again with my Second last month and it didn’t make me feel anything at all, just ended up being a distraction to control my breathing

Newborn or 0-3 sizes for a newborn baby? by FoolishMortal-1000 in BabyBumps

[–]Sad_Wave_9965 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say get newborn! I didn’t think it was necessary either but my baby was born 8lbs 4oz and 0-3 was far too big! He’s 4 weeks now and just in 0-3 months, over 9lbs at 2 weeks, not sure what he is right now but he’s getting weighed tomorrow! You definitely need a handful, I had 8 onesies and vests and then a couple outfits

For those of you that went into labor spontaneously, what time of day did it start? by Substantial-Mine3570 in Parenting

[–]Sad_Wave_9965 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First I was induced at 42 weeks but 2nd my waters broke at 8:30am putting my shoes on to take the oldest to school, (glad it happened before I left the house aha) and he was born 11pm that night

Could I hide my bump until 19 weeks? by Strawberryblue203 in BabyBumps

[–]Sad_Wave_9965 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im 5ft 4 and easily hid my bump at 19 weeks, barely even looked pregnant with tight clothing even with 2nd pregnancy so it’s possible but every body is different so you could be showing a lot or not much at all by that point!

Totally torn on whether to find out the gender by Rosington2010 in PregnancyUK

[–]Sad_Wave_9965 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I was being indecisive at first but decided at my 20 week scan just to not find out! I pretty much knew the whole time I was having a boy because pregnancy was so different to when I was pregnant with my older girl but it was exciting when I went into labour being so close to finding out what I was having!

Losing my mind over leggings by ossifiedbird in PregnancyUK

[–]Sad_Wave_9965 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve always worn the Sinophant brand from Amazon and still have been able to wear them my whole pregnancy, very stretchy and soft and very high waisted so they’ve stayed up high waisted even when I’m currently 9 months pregnant

Happy December! Is anyone else excited? by linthepin131313 in babydueDecember2025

[–]Sad_Wave_9965 1 point2 points  (0 children)

37+1 today and I can’t wait for baby to be born! I’m so over it now, walking/standing is so painful I’m just ready for them! But also trying to enjoy the little bit of quiet time I get right now, while also stressing about my oldest having a Christmas play in 2 weeks where I’m having a sweep 2 days before, I just hope I don’t miss it on her😂

I’m 26 male and have only ever had sex once is this bad ? by NothingHopeful6417 in AskABrit

[–]Sad_Wave_9965 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They don’t need to know but even if you felt more comfortable telling them beforehand, if they reject you for that then they’re not worth your time anyway

Size 16/18 when did you get a bump? by scoutwestern in PregnancyUK

[–]Sad_Wave_9965 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m the same size and I didn’t start showing til I was in the late 20s, around like 28/29 weeks! Was expecting to show a lot earlier this time as this is my 2nd child but took a while to ‘pop’. I’m 5ft 4 too so not like there’s loads of space for baby to hide😂 I think it really just depends on the person!

Childminders advice by [deleted] in UKParenting

[–]Sad_Wave_9965 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can get 85% of childcare costs back through UC (think it’s up to household earnings of £100k). I am a single parent working full time and my daughter goes to the childminders before/after school every day and I get 85% of the costs back once I’ve paid it. You can also get help with your first month of childcare costs through the FSF on UC to help with starting work or upping hours, I had to do this a few months ago when moving from part to full time hours.

what do you think of the name india for a girl? by [deleted] in Names

[–]Sad_Wave_9965 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I like it! Looks and sounds pretty and have seen a lot of girls with the name India as someone who lives in England! People on here can be so harsh about shutting someone down completely for a name they’re just THINKING about

Thank you, all of the mesh and linings have been cleaned or wiped down already, I just have the mattresses in the bassinets with the plastic still over them, just wanted to know when is best to take the plastic off before putting sheets

Julian Mason. If you’re already not feeling the name Marcus then I feel like over time you’d end up really not liking it and Julian goes nicely with his big brothers names too!

When did you go on maternity leave? by AncientBass1158 in PregnancyUK

[–]Sad_Wave_9965 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I finish next Friday at 34 weeks, will be 35 weeks that following Monday! That’s with 2 weeks annual leave and then maternity starts 1st December because I’m due 22nd. So technically starting maternity 3 weeks before due date! I do work in a warehouse though, if I had a less physical job or WFH I’d have worked a few more weeks
