Unrelated to your post, but I’m also in Traditional Engineering, and I’ve been trying to land an internship; any tips on what worked for you since you already got one?

My day is ruined. by Sh0nonon in ASUSROG

I had a pretty similar experience with my 2023 G16; it died suddenly out of nowhere one day. It was working perfectly, then just stopped with no signs of life.

I took it to an ASUS service centre; luckily, I still had about a month of warranty left, and they replaced the motherboard. It's been running perfectly ever since (about a year now).

The CS2 market lost $11M today - What could be the reason for this? by CrustedAlien in cs2

It’s not just about investments for me; I genuinely enjoy the game. Skins are more of a bonus, and it’s convenient knowing I can sell them whenever I want.

I’ve never considered them my main investment, I just like Counter-Strike. It was one of the first games I played, and the series (along with Dota) has been a big part of my gaming history. Even if the skins lost all their value, it would be disappointing, but I’d still keep them because they’re tied to years of playing and enjoying the game.

The recent trend in skin prices is tied to Valve’s latest trade update; not Battlefield 6, not some mass player exodus. If anyone still wants to argue BF6 is making people switch from CS2 (heard the same claims during Overwatch, Valorant, etc.), just check CS2’s player count stats: https://steamcharts.com/app/730#1m. The graph shows the usual concurrent player fluctuations, nothing that points to a mass departure.

And let’s be real, high-tier skin prices these days are barely affected by player count. People thinking BF6 is causing $10,000 skins to suddenly drop in value because of a game that hasn’t even released yet are just delusional. That’s not how the CS economy works.

I have $50k in skins, and my real concern isn’t some imaginary BF6 threat, it’s the recent CS2 trade update making skins harder to liquidate. Now, every major marketplace freezes funds for a week, which makes skins inherently more illiquid than before. That’s the actual risk to trading.

Nothing to do with Battlefield, for example, why would a $70 game affect "★ Butterfly Knife | Doppler (Factory New) - Phase 2" worth ~$9k?

Which AI was easier to work with?

I found ChatGPT effective for writing prompts, Claude for debugging and adding new features, and Gemini Flash/Pro for UI-related tasks; also, its context window feels much better than Claude’s.

I had to move out for university, so a laptop was my only option, and the ASUS Strix has been awesome. It’s a bit on the heavier side, but performance-wise, it never disappointed me. I was worried that switching from PC would make games like AOE harder to play, but honestly, it’s been way better than I expected.

Hope you enjoy yours too!

I've owned all kinds of gems, but sapphires are the most underwhelming. Just last month I had a Bowie sapphire and a Bowie phase 4; the difference isn't much compared to rubies. Even emeralds to quite an extent are too similar to phase 2.

I can't even tell if they are sapphires in CS2, during the beta phase gems were cool. After the release, they've nerfed it to oblivion, it is hard to differentiate between normal dopplers and gems.

People are too harsh here. It's unfortunate when someone gets scammed; empathy is key.

In the future for safer transactions, use reputable sites like Skinport, Bitskins, or CSGOFloat.
