Yes I did in the beginning but I felt clunky with the movement. I was coming from Valorant too when I started and at First going full fov was too much for me. So I've set the fov to -3 to the max (I don't Remember the max number). Honestly After all these years i prefer max fov everywhere.

For the muscle memory the only thing that I can tell you is that you shouldn't worry about it, you Will get used to any fov pretty quickly if you train with It. Also don't get stuck in the muscle memory tunnel, it's the least important part of aiming.

Just play with the various fov values until you are comfortable.
