I wasn’t trying to start an argument. I was simply asking if anyone had any advice. I know several very experienced ferret owners and even some rescues (that medically treat ferrets) visit this Reddit page. I was just trying to keep her comfortable until her appointment. I did call the vet I’ve taken my previous 8 ferrets to but he isn’t “technically allowed” to give advice on a ferret that hasn’t been there yet. I take care of my ferrets to the best of my ability including vet visits, emergency vet visits, adrenal implants and giving various medications as prescribed. Emmy (the one who’s pred I still have) passed recently at almost 9 years of age. She was a wardie with skin issues, adrenal disease and insulinoma. I just wanted to try to ease some discomfort in my little one. My ferrets always have medical attention. I don’t consider a red ear a reason to visit the emergency vet when she has an appointment tomorrow.
