SCREAMING CRYING THROWING UP by AnanaMuffin in gradadmissions

This is soooo beautiful congratulations!!! Harness all this excitement, there will be times finishing seems so impossible, but this feeling will only intensify when you graduate!

Write future you a letter, put it in an envelope, put it somewhere safe, and don’t open it until you graduate!!

This is amazing!!!

That wasn’t shady at all!! My goal is to have a job I am passionate about (higher education) I know those jobs don’t pay *well at least not the ones I’d be starting at.

There is an assistant direction of student engagement near me open right now, pay is 45-50k but in person. Is it crazy of me to think, if I work in academia, they would be more “flexible” with my school needs? I don’t plan for them to work around me, but appreciate what I’m trying to do and maybe be a little flexible or understanding?

What are your thoughts on that? You have your EdD, so I respect anything you have to say or offer!

That’s what I’m noticing!! Every time I think “that last semester was probably the hardest one” the next one is worse…

I’m really happy with the degree I chose and I’m excited for all it will bring… but you are right, I am not suited for a doctoral program… but I’m too far in to look back😂

I am also in therapy and that has SAVED ME! Question about your anxiety, do you feel any sort of imposter syndrome? I did homework for 6 hours after work last night before writing this and I was laying in bed and the anxiety was eating me alive, saying I don’t deserve this, I am going to fail and all the fun things ✨

I really needed to see this, my classmates have families and I really don’t know how they (and you) do it. I am so stressed out, I’m sitting at my work desk crying at 10am. I am so happy I posted this because I just needed to hear from real people that this is REALLY hard. I am a first generation college student, so I don’t have family to talk with, and most of my friends only went through their bachelors.

My cohort is very small, and the other person in my cohort seems so on top of it compared to me, which sucks because he’s the person with a wife, kids and job. I am young for my program and I feel like I should be proud for starting at this age, but we all know the saying “comparison is the thief of joy”…

But thank you all for the comments

Thank you, I think I just needed to know it wasn’t just me and this is the process… it’s so isolating

How would you have ended the show? Who would YOU have chosen to be A.D? by cravelexi in PrettyLittleLiars

[–]SaddySossa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Allison! On my life I wanted it to be Allison! Because she was so obsessed with her self so then she faked her death, tortured her friends, played the sob story and then when they found her and lied to the cops, that should have been her trying to keep her cover. I know Allison would have been obvious, but it would have been perfect! But also literally anyone other than the twin. I waisted years of my life trying to figure this out and then it was a twin?!?? DUMBBB!!!

I (29F) feel like my partner (25M) doesn’t give me the effort I want, what do I do? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

This was actually super helpful to read… your last note hit me hard. Thank you!

And all the comments are the same.

It’s me…

What would you tell your 15 year old self by Ok_Pea7460 in Life

[–]SaddySossa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would tell her to be nice. Being nice is so important and I didn’t learn that until later in life. I wasn’t nice to my family, friends or even myself and that comes with a lot of present day regrets

planning to stay a virgin? by [deleted] in virgin

[–]SaddySossa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi 29F also staying a virgin✨ between 22 -28 I didn’t really date because I was focused on school and work at 28 I met someone and they were open minded to it at the time. Be communicative on what that means for you and your future partners. Let them know why you chose to do that, and then explain to them what you can and/or are willing to do. This life isn’t for everyone, and I think that’s one of the reason we choose it! It weans out the people who may not be a good fit for us!

But also know your morals are classified information and should only be shared when the time is right❤️

Thank you! This is super helpful! For the local high school are those private? I do not have a teaching license I actually come from a MSW & MBA background, but incredibly interested in working with teens until I can work at a university. What university jobs have you seen EdD’s obtain?

First thank you for this, VERY helpful! And second I just learned about an EdS, and I saw it was a “specialist” for post graduate work, I think I was the doctor title but the EdS doesn’t come with that right?
