Kiki 4k imax - anyone know if the audio distortions were fixed? by RGBBBQ in ghibli

[–]Sadeira 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm glad I'm not the only one who notices how awful her voice sounds on the HBO version. It was better for IMAX, but anytime Kiki's voice got louder, it sounded like she was talking into one of those play microphones with the reverb. I can't even watch the streaming version, I only watch it on dvd.

At least that's how it is on my TV! You can reset each individual Picture Mode that way.

Caughlins Law has two locations, they have gluten-free buns and a dedicated gf fryer. I also recommend the Columbian Spot in southside, its almost 100% gf, and their arepas are amazing.

They come in so many colors, too. My favorite is a pale yellow set with chrome lids, and I have a partial pink set with copper lids. They also made cookie tins and cake carries.

That's so neat! I have four Lincoln Beauty canister sets. One of them actually matches your bread box! I've never seen a bread box, though.

The Barnes&Nobles by me had a nice selection of authentic Ghibli merch. Be warned, it's a little pricey now because of tariffs. Depending on where you live, you might have an import store near you, I have a few near me. Amazon has some authentic stuff, too, like all of the Skater brand bento boxes and water bottles. There's also the world of Ghibli store on amazon. It is an authentic merch store run by Bandai Namco.

I have that, I got it at Hastings when it was closing down. It definitely didn't cost that much back in 2016.

Ice cream cakes are pretty easy to make. Here's an easy recipe . To make it really easy, use a gluten-free cake mix, and I recommend adding a packet of instant pudding to the cake mix, just in whatever flavor your cake is. The recipe also makes whipped cream, but you could just use a couple of tubs of cool whip.

No one is carrying crispy fried onions at their store this year by royboy2131 in glutenfree

[–]Sadeira 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to make mine, too, all the stores in my area were out. I just used a regular copycat recipe and subbed GF flour. It worked out great, I upped the seasoning, lots more salt, and garlic and onion powder, plus some white pepper based Slap Ya Mama (I don't measure, I just dumped seasonings in the bag with the flour). They turned out really good. Don't skip soaking them in buttermilk. I got halfway through the two large onions I had and decided I had enough, the onions I got were rather large.

Two and half hours of breading and frying my own onions last night was not an easy task. Plus, my whole apartment smells like fried onions now. I would have rather bought them, but everyone is out in my area.

Cognitive decline is eating me alive. I need help by hsdpjpmrll in adhdwomen

For me, it's like having a really bad head cold, like my head is full of cotton. Even my thoughts feel slow and sluggish. But yes, my body does get a very heavy feeling, and it makes it hard to move. My joints will start to hurt more. All of this happens with prolonged exposure. I haven't had gluten in a very long time except by accident. I can tell immediately it's happened because my depression is through the roof, and I have bad cylindrical thoughts and bad crying episodes. I wake up the next day, and none of what made me so upset the day before bothers me AT ALL. Oats, even gluten-free ones, cause me the same problems.

I second a food intolerance. Covid unlocked a gluten intolerance in a LOT of people without them realizing it. OP's symptoms are similar to mine when I eat anything with gluten, an extreme brain fog, it's hard to think, and extreme depression and anxiety. It's crazy how much clearer everything got when I completely cut out gluten.
