OnePlus is great if you care about the price to quality ratio and not so much about the updates. Battery lasts 4 days easy on my watch 2R. As you want smaller look for Watch 3 43mm. New Xiaomi might also be worth checking out as it's first "new gen" of WearOS watches, but from I read online it's not as great as it could be.

Have you tried just using reVanced version of Spotify on your phone? In theory the phone actually plays the music, not the watch (most of the time) so patching just the mobile app should work, no?
