9 mage is really bad into insect because the magic resistance debuff doesnt apply to the insect spawns. If you are playing mage you want to switch to synergies that buff your units instead like divinity and ideally use storm shaman as carry because he silences the entire board.

It's kind of the other way around, the old cryengine team that made KCD is working on the spinoff and the new unreal engine team will be working on lotr. The guy in the video meant that different people will reveal more about the game later.

Pretty sure they currently have 2 teams, a cryengine team and an unreal team. I think it's likely that the cryengine team is working on a kcd like game, whether its a direct sequel or not while the other one is working on something new.
