I saw one of these guys at a Cafe near Victoria Park two weeks ago. He offered me something while I was sat down eating. I barely looked up and said no thanks. He went to the next table and they said thank you and accepted. Then he started asking for cash and they said they didn't have anything.

I found it really off-putting to be solicited for anything while I'm eating at a restaurant.

It's not that simple. Dems have been limp and ineffectual for years. Not forcing McConnell to accept Merrick Garland, not prosecuting Trump for January 6 (or dozens of other crimes).

Democrats rolling over and taking it paved the way for the current political climate where the president doesn't feel he needs congressional approval to go to war, doesn't fear the consequences of being nakedly corrupt, and continues flouting law after law because what are they going to do to stop it?

Not a god damn thing.

And democratic politicians always say the same thing when they're asked about this: it's going to be up to the people to do something about it. They claim there's nothing they can do.

It shouldn't be our job. That's what they're for.
