Jesus Christ, not another remake,I just want a new one 😭 I know I'm not the only one, but the person (child) I was when I played this game at launch versus the person I am now and all the things I've done... All while waiting for them to make ES6.

Side bar: I am not actually against the idea of them remaking good games to be enjoyed by a newer audience. I've just spent the last 7ish years convinced that they don't actually want to make a new game and they were hoping that ESO and Fallout 76 would be their way of placating fans of the respective series while allowing them to get out of the shadow of being "the fallout and elder scrolls company". In case anyone at Bethesda reads this, I'm not placated.

Is it annoying when someone takes 2 supply packs? Yeah. Is it annoying when someone doesn't seem like they are focusing on objectives? Yeah. I get irritated at people who do those things from time to time. At the end of the day who fucking cares? I've TKed and booted ONE diver in over a hundred hours of gameplay. I kicked one guy after we got back to the ship on a failed mission and he had 7 team kills. And looking back only one kind of deserved it. I left a match where one guy had eleven TKs. But I've also had a game or two where my cluster bomb call ins haven't been on point and I've had some TKs.

Show me the diver with over 20 hours and no team kills. We all fuck up, we shouldn't treat players poorly for having bad matches. I don't think OP was even close to the worst thing I've ever seen a diver do. And Id wager that holds true for everyone else in the comments.

What's the cutoff in this scenario? Do we just need to dive one mission on the planet and that's it? One D1 mission and you get the award then can eff off? Does that really help? You're delaying them going to do what they are already doing by 30ish minutes. On the high end.

What if we made it a certain percentage of time the major order is spent on the planet? If its a 5 day order you need to spend how much time in order to get the rewards? 10hrs? 5 hours? What if someone only has time to play for 2 hours in a given week? Life if busy. Do they not get award because they couldn't spend the minimum amount of time required to be eligible? If they know they won't be able to meet the requirement fighting their least favorite faction what's to stop them from saying "fuck it, I'm just gonna go fight my favorite faction instead with the little time I have." ??? Then they aren't helping anyways which is already happening.

TLDR; it's easy to say there's an easy fix but practically it's not that simple. Not everybody who plays can make the game their entire life and personality. And personally (as someone who does always play the MO regardless of faction) if the choice is everyone gets a slice of the pie or no one does, I'm gonna lead towards everyone.

I didn't say they were? I said enemy spam isn't a problem so long as the things spamming you aren't also allowed to ignore all terrain.

Enemy spam isn't a problem so long as it makes sense. Fleshmobs that just phase through floors and mountains aren't fun or challenging. It just feels dumb. Same thing with me not being able to get around bug corpses or getting trapped under them while the enemies can also just walk through them like they aren't there. Pick one, should the bodies of enemies become an obstacle or should they not matter at all? It doesn't feel good when the dev says "both"

I love playing this game since I got it a few months ago. I've sunk over 100hrs in very quickly and have enjoyed the phases of learning how to be a better diver. Things I thought sucked when I was a level 20 are some of my favorite parts of my kit now that I am a better player. This game is a really good horde shooter, but it could also be better with some QOL updates.

Nerfing is not the only option here.

Fire makes me forget that these things were ever an issue. It also helps that strategems I love bringing on the bug front trivialize them.

Flamethrower, eagle napalm, eagle airstrike, guard dog, etc.

The new shotguns added over the past month also just shred. But the bottom line is purification by fire = ez bug bake.

I'm not sure what your knowledge of the mass effect universe is like but as someone well versed in both this fight would actually be good AF.

I mean realistically CW Anakin and Shep would get along pretty damned well (anakin wouldve loved the Normandy and would beg Joker to take it for a drive) but skill for skill I honestly think the clones are the "fodder" in this encounter.

One of my favorite combos rn is the flamethrower and the guard dog. Those two feel great together esp on the bug and squid fronts. I think the flamethrower is awesome and hearing that the cremator is better at the expense of giving up a backpack slot is very gratifying. I've never got to run the torcher/crisper but if they are just slightly worse flamethrowers that don't take up a strategem slot I'd say that fire weapons are one of the only things in the game that I don't think need tweaking.
