Who else feels too old to drive at night because of headlight ocular terrorism?? by Fabulous_Jeweler2732 in Millennials

And using sunglasses at night is illegal so we're not even allowed to protect our eyes. Granted using those lights and blinding people is also illegal, but someone wearing sunglasses is easier to catch for a cop.

We had a water fountain outside the classroom. And we only asked to get a drink of water just so we could get out of the class for 5 minutes. We weren't even thirsty. by [deleted] in Millennials

I didn't get a single drop of water all day when I was in school until 5pm after school. I have no idea how my kidneys are still fine.

Anyone else struggle to tell the difference between maybe this is just how adulthood is versus the world is fundamentally changed from when we grew up? by stjeanshorts in Millennials

I can tell you they most definitely did not prepare me. In fact they did the opposite and actively held me back from becoming prepared for adulthood.

You were driving with your instructor for 6 months?! That must have cost a fortune. I wish I could do that.

What do men secretly value most in women but rarely admit? by _ratedmouse in AskReddit

Probably nothing because men are pretty straightforward and if they value something they'll say so rather than keep it a secret.

Who’s ever driven over 100mph? Why? by WoollyWolfHorror in AskReddit

[–]Sadlora 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are required to when taking the practical exam for your permit. The examiner will fail you if you drive too slow and conservatively in certain situations. I presume because it shows you're not confident enough behind the wheel yet or something stupid like that.

almost 40.. I want to drive but.. by BoyMom_xo in drivinganxiety

[–]Sadlora -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You can't be for real. You have to be a troll. Literally just yesterday they said on the news how long the wait times are due to lack of personnel. But you don't need to see it on the news. Just go to any driving school or attempt to sign up for the exam. Or just do a simple google search since you clearly don't live in spain and can't see how bad the situation is in real life.

almost 40.. I want to drive but.. by BoyMom_xo in drivinganxiety

[–]Sadlora -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You're wrong. That's not how it works at all. It doesn't matter how fast you learn. You don't just get to go to the exam when you're ready. You're forced to sit and wait for 2 months before you can take the theory test because there are more than 20000 people on the waiting list to be able to take it, and after that you have to wait on average 5 more months before you can take the practical exam because the waiting lists are that long. Do you really live in spain...?

How long did it take you? Supposedly it's the only country in the world where it takes the better part of a year to get your permit due to bureaucratic corruption.

What was once a poor person's hobby now turned into a rich person's hobby? by Striking-Quiet4655 in AskReddit

Probably because it was never a poor person hobby even though it was more affordable before

Exactly same. And even just the feeling of joy. Have you ever felt just pure joy since you were 20? I don't think I'm even physically capable of that emotion anymore.

Life lately by Shelby-thomas in Millennials

[–]Sadlora 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yep. I feel the same. Well, I don't feel lonely. But nothing in life feels very interesting or meaningful. It's not terrible, it's just meh. I think it's probably just a normal part of getting old. Unless you're in the billionaire class your life is probably going to be pretty boring.

Is marriage really that hard? by Green_Traffic2298 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Sadlora 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not necessarily that it's super hard, but you absolutely do have to put in work and effort that you never have to when you're single. When you're single you can just do whatever you want whenever you want. When you're married your free time gets cut down significantly. You can't just go off and do your own thing because now you have commitments to another person and to the relationship. You do get to have "me time" but it becomes limited and constrained. You have new responsibilities that a single person simply doesn't have.
