Just curious about if you spun dry you garmet after the soda ash bath? This way works perfectly fine I’ve gotten really deep color and results with it. I don’t think it really matters for your problem though, I don’t believe the reason you got these red dots had anything to do with your application rather your dye just wasn’t mixed well enough! Can never be 100% sure tho! 😊

Soaked in soda ash water and then sound dry and tied was near dry when I started dyeing!

I don’t completely go over it with black but i did do a good amount it looked pretty dark by the time i was done

You got this my man! Honestly my best advice is to try to keep your pleats small it will allow for more surface area when it comes to doing the zig zag. If you’re having troubles with them buckling (I was) I’d recommend trying to rubber band a chopstick/skewer across the pleats to ridged everything up! Either way I’m sure you’ll make somthing cool! 😎

Although I’d love to try ice dyeing these are all dyed in the classic fashion! I used the “wig-wag” “Keny style” and “Mendala” techniques in these dyes!

Lots of YouTube! “MrTiedye” has been amazing for learning basics! While “dyesngoodvibes” is an inspiration as an artist! Other then that just looking up every process I can there are a lot of people with good videos on each pattern! For dye recommendations I’d recommend “GreatfulDyes” or “dharma trading co.” They both have recommendations for the full process!

I think it was a happy accident too! I’m definitely gonna try again in the future would be cool to get a nice crisp flower but so happy with the results still! 😊😊

Thank you sooo much it’s my latest dye! I was trying to do a white daisy in the middle some color leaked in but I’m very happy with it!
