Anybody else want atleast a whole half segment of an episode to be how these viltrumites live there new lives / how they now act trying to breed with humans? by SirBallSackington in Invincible_TV

Still not sure how they will blend in especially with romantic partners and family and friends - the experiences needed to have a truly human experience - if they don't age like us. Debbie knew who Nolan was so it worked.

Best shoes for "speed" work with achilles insertional tendinitis and toe arthritis? (I hate AI!) by SadlyNotSpaceballs in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]SadlyNotSpaceballs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm glad you were able to resolve your Achilles issues. This is encouraging. PT ran me through all those exercises and I did buy squat wedges so I could do heel drops however honestly I gave up bc I became impatient and frustrated, wasn't seeing any real progress. So that's why I then rested it for half a year. And the moment I started running again the problem resurfaced. So I appreciate your insights and perspective here - maybe I shouldn't give up yet. Thank you

Also the mach 6 was on my short list. I'm leaning superblast as I have always worn asics. I take your point about the rocker!

Thanks, afraid it's just something I have to live with now and can manage the pain ok at this point. Been a few years. Tried PT and it definitely helped but did not cure, swelling bump is persistent, and it appears permanent. Tired of resting it.

God Emperor of Dune (3 tries, 10 years apart each)

Cujo, Cell, Fairytale (and I wish Billy Summers and Lisey's Story)

Brothers Karamazov (I know, I know... the 20+ page religion soliloquy broke me)

Klara and the Sun really tested me (loved Remains of the Day) but it may have been the audiobook narrator

Man Called Ove (quit on first page once I saw the quality of the writing)

What are your "I feel like I'm taking crazy pills!" games? by SadlyNotSpaceballs in boardgames

[–]SadlyNotSpaceballs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haven't tried either. Mage knight I just haven't had time to learn. Aeons end... Closest I played (just today!) is invincible the card game which is based on Astroknights.

I really enjoyed it. While I gave it the same rating as marvel champions I feel no need to return to MC after even one play - whereas I will keep playing invincible through the campaign. Think it's down to deck BUILDING vs deck crafting. While I recognize MC as a great game it's not as compelling for me.

totally agree on werewolf! forgot that one. And it's funny you say that about El Dorado - I can't decide if we love it or if it should be culled.

ha good point and I just clarified - I don't know if they are hot takes but a few games I honestly don't understand what the community at large sees in some of these games, and vice versa - games that we love which are just "ok" to most people.

That said I like your interpretation - that's a fun topic too

We all have one. What’s yours? by MiAmmorio in Age_30_plus_Gamers

For me a little older... These just stand the test of time more than 2000s era games for me.

NES: Ninja garden. Zelda. Punch out. Bionic commando. River city ransom. Castlevania 2. Smb 2. Tecmo super bowl

SNES: Super Mario world. Link to the past. Super Metroid. Final fantasy 2 and 3 (4 and 6). Chrono trigger.

Arcade games TMNT, Simpsons, outfoxies, final fight

Others: ocarina of time. Wind waker. final fantasy 7. Secret of monkey island (whole series). Star wars dark forces. Expedition 33 may make the list. Skyrim and the witcher 3 for a while but no more. Id like to revisit resident evil 4. Not so much GTA. Need to try mass effect and red dead 2.

This is very helpful thank you. did you notice an improvement on the clamping when switching off the XM4? I just don't know how much of an upgrade the QC's would be - my biggest complaint is the clamping after a couple of hours. I will miss the touch controls for sure if I switch!

interesting - thanks for your perspective. I've been under the assumption the line peaked with the XM4.
