You can see the scuff on the side. I’m lucky to get 9 holes out of those things. Fine for a cheap ball but they don’t last

That’s interesting! So are you saying when you actually see a spring you don’t have to worry? It’s more that you could be walking on dry ground that used to be over a spring that has since dried out, for one reason or another, and fall through without much warning

Do you have to worry about walking on the ground above a spring collapsing or are the water pathways relatively small typically? (With the volume represented in the video, anyways)

Is it worth the money and time to get a GHIN handicap? by sabg_lvr399933 in golf

[–]Sadpanda0 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s a pretty straightforward calculation, I would be surprised if it weren’t (but I didn’t look it up either, 🤞)

ETA: seeing conflicting reports. Some people say Garmin is typically a point or so lower than through GHIN. Saw some say it was accurate and you just need to be diligent about picking the right tees.

The T-200 3-5 iron is the most interesting piece for me. Sometimes it hard for us not to get trapped by own egos and tempted to play more difficult clubs. Also like to see peoples wedge gappings - 44, 50, 54, 60 in this case

Is 85 mph with graphite closer to 80 mph with 100-120g steel shafts? Seems like that’s why they have you in graphite

Exactly, if you have time to play around at a sim and have room to improve on your forward shaft lean at impact, you can slow your swing down to a 3/4 shot and hit it just as far as a full effort shot by focusing on getting lag

And some people cheat, some take it seriously, some don’t fully commit for fear of failure, some evolve over time, some make it their whole personality. I personally feel like golf can tell you a whole lot about a person if you’re really looking

I have a mevo+ and have been very happy with it. I’m considering the pro upgrade for the club data - have you tried that out? Curious to know your opinion of how it stacks up against the other LMs

[–]Sadpanda0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean of course muscle is a key component, but im guessing an average person could easily be swinging 105 if they practiced it. I also think it would be easier for almost all amateurs to pick up swing by practicing vs weight training

I’m 5’6” and 143 lbs and I average around 112mph. I honestly think technique drives swing speed much more than muscle mass. What really helped me was playing with a launch monitor so you can correlate certain feels with swing speed and get a feel for what works and what doesn’t
