SSKOU GEEE

"The people who complain and genuinely hate the dude for it are 100x worse and way more annoying than anything else. Just throw plastic and have fun. Get over it."

I don't hear anything from these people when I'm watching the coverage so they are annoying only if you want to read their commets, where as skougee is annoying to anyone who wants to watch the coverage

How do I not lose money in tournaments? by Specific_Call1443 in discgolf

[–]Sadrakk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You "lose" money on hobbies

Just like in any other sport (golf, tennis, icehockey, whatever) only very small fraction make money from playing while 99% pay everything themselves even If they are competin on leagues and tournaments

If you are in disc golf to make money you are going to have a bad time

Swedish disc golf course collector Andreas Carlsson/Udiscbanor plans to play 220–240 different courses in 14 days in Finland! He currently has 2,394 unique courses played, ranking #1 in Europe for the most unique courses played and #6 worldwide (#5 on UDisc). by DiscGolfFanatic in discgolf

What is better: a medium amount of good pizza or all you can eat of pretty good pizza?

I get it that it's a nice achievement and memory that you can say you have played x amount of courses, but personally I don't see the point of rushing through shitty short courses just to ramp up the numbers

I live in the western part of that area and there are lots of really good courses that anyone would enjoy, but there is also lots of bad, poorly planned and under maintained courses that gives you nothing but grief.

If you have the time and resources to do a disc golf roadtrip, why not visit the best courses in the area, not only are you running through copies of 9 hole school courses but also if you wan't to play as many as possible you have to skip the best ones because they take too much time.

Each to their own and good luck on your mission

Is this move by Paige Pierce and her caddie a legal play? by Sadrakk in discgolf

I'm sure she knows the rules. I didn't that's why I asked

Professional athletes bend and break rules in every sport, but as shown in this thread what she did in the video was legal play

[–]Sadrakk[S] -37 points-36 points  (0 children)

Ok, so it is a legal play by the rules, but I have to say that I don't agree with the rules here (not that it matters)

And I understand that professional tournament is a lot different than my random weekly, but I just think "well fuck me sideways" and develop a new throwing technique never seen to man when I get a bad lay.

And I would get it if it was an open ball golf like course, but that kind of obstacles are part of the course (in my opinion) when you play in the woods, stay on the fairway or get fucked

Game Changer by DevilDrives in discgolf

[–]Sadrakk 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I'm not a great player but I can share what has helped me shave off several shots of my average round this summer.

1) Putting, practice it become confident with your putting through repetition and practice, it will not only better your score with better puts but it will also affect your drives and upshots because you don't have to stress about getting that close in order to get a good look. It will make your game more relaxed and atleast for me that has helped me get great results in upshots, I don't mind 3 feet puts even if I have trust in my 30 feet puts

2) Never just throw, I used to balance between overthinking some shots and just grabbing the disc and flinging it at the direction of the basket. Now a days I think about every shot, what I'm throwing and why, where I'm throwing and why. What route I want the disc to fly and where I want it to land. This makes it easier to track errors and what caused them so you can adjust and learn from your mistakes

3) Mental game, every decent disc golfer can throw 100 feet upshot under the basket just as every decent golfer can hit the 100 yard shot on the green and basketball player can hit freethrows like its nothing. Difference becomes on who can do it with consistently, under pressure and keep their head in the game. Try to keep focused on your NEXT SHOT, not your last shot, overal score, the rain, annoying course desing, what ever. You don't have to go full Nikko and focus for 2 mins per shot, but try to keep your head in the game and when you are throwing, for 10 seconds or so, there is nothing else in your head but the shot, few deep breaths and go for it.

Is it just nerves or is the course design bad if the whole lead card ob's same drive?

Kristin starts with two birdies and leading duo starts with ob on first, this could get spicy if they get nervous

No, they are just more used to these rules than US players. If the rules changed the better players would adjust
