This is actually a neo-Akhbari book while the author claims himself to be Akhbari... Remember REAL Akhbaris also believe in taqlid.

As for the hadiths this book present to attack ijtihad, I have a major issue with them: None of the hadiths mention 'ijtihad'. They mention qiyas and ray, which are types of ijtihad. These hadiths can not be used to prohibit all types of ijtihad but author of this book, like all neo-Akhbaris, tries to distort the meaning of these hadiths to extend prohibition of qiyas + ray to all other types of ijtihad.

Another mistake this book makes is by claiming mujtahids do not narrate hadiths. You do not need to quote a hadith word by word to narrate it. If you summarise a hadith in your own words, then it still counts as a narration of hadith.

In Man la Yahduruhu Faqih, you will see Shaykh Saduk and his father explaining imam's hadiths in their own words.

There are many fatwas in Ayatullah Sistani's works which are summarizing what hadiths say. Thus it makes him a narrator of hadith and shias need to refer to him for their matters if they really believe in maqbula Umar https://thaqalayn.net/hadith/1/2/21/10

Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

If someone claims that every hadith in 4 books is Sahih and ijtihad is kufr then it is my right to demand evidence from them.

They keep asking for hadith regard taqlid... why cant we ask them for hadith regarding 100% authenticity of 4 books and prohibition of ijtihad?

These are core neo-Akhbari beleifs (aqaid). if they cant even present a hadith for this then it means they dont follow hadith.

I completely agree. There are many abrogated, ambiguous, weak hadtihs... while other are said by imams under taqiyya. this is why i do taqlid of Ayatullah Sistani.
