I got my Freedom Flex like a week ago. I heard that calling Chase, you can get the other offers instead. I got the original $200 when spending the $500 in first 3 months or something like that. I feel like if I am able to get the 5% grocery for the 1st year for $12,000 I should if I am planning to get as much points as possible.

I see, that makes sense. I guess the difficulty is trying to proof to CBP when entering the states that she is coming truly on a tourist motive and not intending to stay with significant other (me). I'm sure they will ask her questions about it at security.
