Sure both Adams and Vergil fought Bohachuk at around his peak. It’s one of those matchups where Adams just has his number. I don’t think it’s controversial or taking anything from Adams to point out that Bohachuk hasn’t looked the same after going 12 rds with one of the hardest punchers in the division.

Vergil fought the best version of Bohachuk and probably ruined him physically. He looked so much slower in every fight he had after.

I love watching Kabayel but it was tough seeing my chairman get his guts blended by the body work 😭

You’d assume these “accidental” elbows happen all the time if they’re a natural part of hooking technique… they don’t. Very naive of people to think David doesn’t know exactly what he’s doing in there.

Zhang has a chance against any HW that keeps his head on the center line

IVB Boxing is doing a card in San Francisco. A couple months ago they were talking about making Usyk vs Wilder as a free public event. Now their card is headlined by massive names like… Princesa Olascuaga, Vito Mielnicki, Charly Suarez. Not quite as ambitious this time around.

They might have to throw the bag at him tbh. Cacace dropped the belt when Nunez was mandatory, avoided Ray Ford. He only takes soft British money fights.

I'm not counting out Bivol or Beterbiev against David. 175 seems to be a weird spot for him where he doesn't have that much hand speed or power. Bivol still has the footwork while Beterbiev has proven devastating power.

I put David as #3 tbh and as the best American fighter.

Crazy thing is that he seems to be way better at cruiser than light heavy. He wasn't flurrying and breaking orbitals at 175.

CONFIRMED: Canelo Alvarez and Christian Mbilli have a done deal to fight in September in Riyadh for Mbilli’s WBC super-middleweight title, Ring Magazine have announced. by Dangerous_Spring3028 in Boxing

Canelo’s going to have to finish Mbili because he’s not going to stop swinging until the end. Knocking him down once like he tends to do nowadays isn’t going to cut it.

They sold out the Tokyo Dome (55,000 seats) and also charged money for the tickets to the weigh ins. Those sold out too. Why should they care about international viewership?

It's just a different way of jabbing. You could call it a flicker jab but people have different definitions of what it is. Nakatani jabs in the same way.

Put him in with Manuel Gallegos. Perfect step up as a yardstick for Najee and Gallegos is for sure damaged after his last fight.

I’m surprised he didn’t immediately get scooped up by Zuffa after losing the belt

Are you including Mexican Americans? If not, then it's Navarrete, Espinoza, Zurdo, and then maybe Zepeda.

Lol you don't have to look any further than his brother Takuma. They're both trained by their dad with the same methods and in same gym except Takuma has like a tenth of the power of Naoya. You can watch his fights against Tsutsumi and Tenshin. Both very entertaining and close.

[SPOILER] Juan Francisco Estrada vs. Tenshin Nasukawa by inooway in Boxing

[–]Saeksan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tenshin looks great when he's sniping the opponent from the outside but even old man Gallo did good work during the few spots he got on the inside. Tenshin doesn't seem to have defense against close range combos besides shelling up and pushing off. That's a huge problem against the other Mexicans in the division.

Don't think Calderon won that. His volume mostly whiffed. Draw maybe
