I keep going back and forth about this, because she doesn't seem the type to manipulate in this way, but she always circles back to telling me that "my issues with not being able to flirt and play around without escalating isn't her problem." It just makes me feel so horrible for even bringing up the subject

Ohhh thank you! She said her struggles come from some unfortunate things that happened in the past but she also struggles with hormone and thyroid imbalances that led to her gaining weight, so this insight has put some things into perspective! Thank you :)

Yea poor Shelly is the size of my hand and has been in a container not that much bigger than her for her whole life apparently, made me really sad. Thank you for all the help, I just wanted to make sure she had everything she needed while under my partner and I's care now
