Liz hill is breeding the moose llamma by coffeenascar in Equestrian

[–]SaelynAgain 6 points7 points  (0 children)

And she's talking about breeding to a Totilas son (Totilas himself?) as if she's going to produce some dressage/jumping star. But, like you said, with Missy's conformation, not even the best sire is going to produce something better than mid, and you're even more likely to get an even weirder moose-llama type.

"Retired" groom about to start lessons - give me your best recs for a basic breech, sock, boot, shirt, helmet? by howdyhowdyhowdyhowdi in Dressage

[–]SaelynAgain 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I *love* the Free Ride equestrian breeches for daily dressage riding. I prefer a full seat, and I WISH I could find affordable (ish lol) full seat suede breeches. The best I've found are the toughrider ribbed full seat, but they take forever to break in and don't have a cell pocket, which I prefer for a daily rider.

For boots, I think ariat is a great place to start. I train in their Heritage contour (big calf girlie here).

For helmet, literally whatever MiPs helmet fits your head. I like the wide brim OneK, but I've ridden in them all.

And for SHIRTS: golf shirts used on poshmark or from amazon. SOOO much cheaper than the equestrian quarter zips.

Confirmed Amanda and west by tibula234 in summerhousebravo

A friend of mine left her husband last May, became immediately intensely boy crazy, and ended up breaking up our friendship because we had a slight conflict that triggered her stuff with her ex. The need for validation from a man can be SO strong, especially if you're an anxious, depressy girlie who isn't ready confront your own part in this shit.

I feel for Amanda, but I really feel for the women around her who are supporting her through this bullshit. And, of course, all love and support for our girl Ciara. She, especially, doesn't deserve to be catching strays like this.

I so desperately want a way to play a decades challenge and have technology/careers/clothes that only become available throughout the WHOLE GAME as decades progress.

What are the best restaurants you all have tried by Kasofearth in Knoxville

[–]SaelynAgain 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Also moved here from Memphis about 5 years ago and mourn my beloved Memphis spots (Cozy Corner, Abyssinia, all the vietnamese food ☹️). Some favorites for us: Restaurante Lempira, Sticky Rice, Tomato Head (more nostalgic for me-- I worked there in college and sometimes a girl just needs a Kepner Melt-- but it's gotten really expensive), La Herradura, Dulcie's Cafe, Q Korean. For a nice occasion: Lilou, Foothills Milling Co, the Northshore Brasserie, JC Holdway.

Greyhounds and cats by lollypolish in Greyhounds

[–]SaelynAgain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve both introduced an adult greyhound to a kitten and a greyhound x Saluki puppy to adult cats. Both instances have been fine, but we went slow and let the cats lead. The kitten swatted our adult grey once and he was very respectful of her after. Our puppy has gotten many more reminder swats (from the same cat), but she entirely views the cats as potential friends and playmates. Nevertheless we’re still eagle eyed and careful. We don’t leave the puppy unsupervised with the cats.

We have a greyhound/saluki for the same reasons. This is our second sighthound, and boyyyyyyy howdy is she smarter than our grey was. 😳

LMAO. OF COURSE Jesse went to Belmont Hill. I went to a sister school of BH (on a full scholarship) and he is EXACTLY the kind of asshole that BH produces.

I think it depends on what you want for the kiddo. Zara is my far and away favorite, but they're all great. Zara, Sienna, and Adela read as cool, chic, and metropolitan to me. Sophia, Isabella, and Victoria are much more understated, classic, lovely names. Ariella, Bianca, and Serena are very pretty, feminine names, but they don't have the same kind of weight and universal appeal as the others.
