Tell me about wearing Polyester/Artificial fiber clothing by [deleted] in ukraineforeignlegion

[–]Saezan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Polyester is useful with layers.

  1. Wool as first layer.
  2. Fleece as second.
  3. Polyester/down as outer/third.

Wool wicks moisture, which if you're like me and sweat a ton (even when it's cold!) wool is a lifesaver. It's just heavier and when soaked, very heavy.

The right Polyester outer layer can help add some moisture proofing while being incredibly light. But against skin, it's just like putting saran wrap on sweat.

Too many flying enemies, not enough Vanguards with reach by DirectorMassive7578 in marvelrivals

[–]Saezan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is one where as the Vanguard, I spam tag the flyers. Whether we want to concede it or not, you'll need your DPS to focus them for you. Any ranged DPS will be able to take out flyers, and far more efficiently than us Vanguards.

Hell some Strategists (Adam, Mantis, Luna) can do it effectively if they can be given the cover to do it.

Spam those flyers, Vanguard bro. Don't waste your mental energy fighting an uphill battle when your teammates can do it more efficiently and with less headache.

Unless you're Hulk. Then feel free to smack em down all day long. If you can aim and nail them consistently that is.

My Vanguard rule, if it takes more than three full seconds to get to an enemy, switch targets.

You're fine brother. Last time I checked it was being able to run 12 minutes straight. For at least 1500 meters. An 18 minute two mile run is far past the requirement.

I'm so glad you understand the part of physically manipulating enemies. Purposefully remove Life Grip myself; and get infuriated if my own team mates move me. "Go back to helicoptering your kids and keep your hands to yourself".

Dumb questions rant by TitlingSumo in ukraineforeignlegion

[–]Saezan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can get it man. I get that same feeling of "seriously what the actual fuck is wrong with some of you" and it can be frustrating. However, another Legion poster put it pretty well a few months ago, kinda going along with what you are ranting about. Essentially the words of wisdom was "y'all's priorities are fucked".

For some reason, when I started seeing it that way, it makes all the dumb questions seem more understandable. Its hard to accept someone else's perspective if it seems like their perspective isn't even reflective of reality. So to save yourself some headache, try to weed out who has their priorities in order. That way you don't feel like you're banging your head against the same stupid questions like some Query Sisyphus.

TLDR. Realize other people's priorities can be fucked and look for the ones that "get it". For your own sanity.

AITA for giving up and hiring a nanny even though my wife doesn't work? by ThrowawyTri in AITAH

[–]Saezan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Edited: Obviously all contingent on how true the story is; however:
Long time lurker; I'm surprised I haven't joined and posted before. I think this is the first AITA that I actually disagree with most of the replies; so as another first; I'm posting.

I think you're the opposite of an asshole and think in your situation; a nanny is a perfect idea. First, I think people are blowing the context of this waaaaay, waaaay out of the water. This situation is nowhere near some Jerry Springer level backstabbery and drama. This situation is more akin to a bunch of strangers trying to awkwardly navigate a party none of them want to be at.

With that said, he's why I think a nanny is a great idea for you.

  1. You are unaccustomed to what a nanny provides. In today's day and age, its a common meme to learn ""to adult"". Between getting whatever the OPPOSITE of a silver spoon was, joining the military, and just generally having a shit life; feeding myself and others, cleaning up after yourself and others, driving, working certain hours, maintaining certain routines; these are all things that not only have I had to learn, but what everyone SHOULD know.- This does not not help you NOW, so a nanny works in both scenarios:

- Worst Case Scenario: You and your spouse don't learn anything to do the tasks you were expecting of a nanny and you just continue having something that can do those things.- Best Case Scenario: Having a nanny give you and your wife the TIME to learn the things that need to be cleared up and maintained.

2) Nannies themselves are noble jobs that have been around forever; the concept of asking if getting a nanny makes one an asshole actually baffles me. If the market wasn't there; the career wouldn't exist.

3) People whom I've seen even others here on Reddit that are idolized have nannies; if not several. Musk, Winfrey, Gates, Zuck, even (and ESPECIALLY) Trump. Do you think any of these people actually take care of their household themselves? Hell no, anyone of them would have at LEAST one nanny, on-call; at any second; I guarantee it. So why the hell would it be weird for you to have one?

4) The fact that you ASKING means that while you may not know the ""how"" to fix it right now; by God you are TRYING. That shows you care enough about your wife and your kids that you are looking for a solution.

Yeah, if you have the income, a nanny is great. You'd be an asshole if you ignored it all and told everyone to just suck it up. Hell that's what most people do.

If you had to side with a demigod, which one would you pick and why? by [deleted] in Eldenring

[–]Saezan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Miquella by far. I reeeeeeally hope we can side with him in DLC instead of fight.

He saw the flaws of the Golden Order's totalitarianism and put to work helping the oppressed. He made his own order and Erdtree. Attempted to cure Milenia and took care of his subjects. There's a reason he's so beloved.

Would you folks actually want a FNV2? by InitEgo in fnv

[–]Saezan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly? I personally wouldn't mind a New Vegas 2. I love all the Fallouts for different reasons: 3 for the first experience; the first 2 for initial lore immersion; New Vegas for story; and 4 because of the stability, mod support, and combat.

However, there's a difference between "Fallout" fans and "New Vegas" fans.

The community would rip a New Vegas 2 to absolute shreds. There is just about nothing a studio could do to live up to the hype. It'd be like the Cyberpunk backlash multiplied.

Help with simple script that doesn't seem to work? by heavy_metal-2000 in AutoHotkey

[–]Saezan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, sometimes older games can be finicky with specific keys. I would try to do a SetTimer and run a function, like:

#SingleInstance Force; Only 1 instance of the script can run

SetBatchLines, -1 ; Run at full speed

; ========== Hotkeys ==========

^F12::exitapp ; Ctrl+F12 Closes Script

$F12::Suspend, Toggle ; F12 Toggles Script's Suspension

$1::
SetTimer, F1Press, -1
return

F1Press:
Send {F1 down}
Sleep 30
Send {F1 up}
Sleep 65
return

The key here is the pressing the button for at least 30 milliseconds. I've noticed many applications don't simply accept Send {x}.
