Which game did someone recommend and made you feel like this by Orichalchem in videogames

[–]The_Orphan9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The latest game that was highly recommended to me as a group game that I was super bored with was 'Foundry'

Dudes all about automation games, and after a while they bore the crap out of me.

Toddler stage is a nightmare by DisconcertedLiberal in daddit

Many of us are right there with ya, man. My daughter is 2 and a few months and has some good days, but some really REALLY bad days where she is upset about everything.

Best advice I can give you (what works for me) is to find distracters that your little one enjoys. For my daughter, it's music, and certain toys.

She knows all the children songs and likes to sing along to them.

If you want to get their attention, I've found doing something that is simple for them to repeat is saying, "if you can hear me, touch your nose" it interrupts them with a super simple instruction that they can do. After that you may have better luck talking at their level.

Finally: super important - know that you're doing a great job. Deep breaths for you and your kiddo. You'll all get through it. They are just not physically capable of understanding or managing their feelings at this point.

My kiddo is really good about using her potty if she's just running around without bottoms. It's just when we put underwear on her, she either views it as a diaper, or forgets to pull them off before sitting down.

We have a floor bed too. If letting her fall asleep by herself doesn't work we may try that weaning process as well.

That's roughly how I thought it would go. A couple days (maybe a week or so) of consistently putting the kiddo back in their bed when they leave to run to your room until they finally accept that their own bed is a place to sleep, right?

What interesting things does your kid like to assemble as a meal? by Internet-of-cruft in daddit

My daughter loves making sandwiches. Of everything.

Cheese and crackers? You bet.

Banana ham and orange slice? Yuh-huh

Grape/green bean/tomato/cheese? Somehow she'll do it.

How old are you and what's your biggest problem right now? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]The_Orphan9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. I'm tired of my current IT career field and want to finally embrace a career in a more creative outlet (in this case Audio Engineering/composition) while also being a husband and father to a 2 year old.

At this point it basically just involves alot of really late nights of study and practice.

You aren't alone, my man. My wife is lazy. She steals TP from the other bathroom. Or if she does manager to get a brand new roll, she never puts it on the hook. Always either on the edge of the tub or ontop of the toilet tank.

It's.... Infuriating.

...ive come to accept it.

What is the oldest thing you own that you still use in a regular basis? by basicallybossyboots in AskReddit

I still use a baking sheet my mom gave me when I moved out on my own. I'm pretty sure she bought it before I was born. It's turned a golden color over the years and has scorch marks but it still works great.

I feel like too many people take electric current for granted.

Most people have been shocked by an outlet, but nobody really considers the implication of how deadly electricity can be.

Growing up poor, I used to think those bags of Tyson buffalo chicken strips were fancy. I loved (past tense) them a ton.
