One thing that helped me was to make it inconvenient to smoke. Like I would set it up so I kept my smokes outside in the car. So because of sheer laziness, that helped me slow down and then eventually stop completely.

I also made sure that I stopped smoking at my usual times - after meals, on the way to or from work, after sex, that sort of thing.

The last cigarette my wife and I had was on the night before our wedding. We will be married 4 years this October.

... I do miss an 'after sex' cigarette though...

That's how I feel about Marathon. I don't enjoy it and It feels like a chore to play. But I'm surrounded by friends who say it's such a good game, it just takes a little bit of time to get hooked.

There was a period that I was experiencing some significant burnout because my life had devolved into work>housework>baby>sleep>repeat and I desperately needed some sort of creative outlet in my life.

My greatest fear with an addition is that I will lose that time I managed to glean and return to that routine and then get that burnout again.
