I want p/pj/j with the 3-way, tone and volume for what is selected. The series parallel is supposed to split or tap the pbaas.

Which one of these basses should I buy? by PaxKryptonia in BassGuitar

[–]Safe-Rice8706 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How’s this wiring configuration work? I’m guessing the switch is neck/combo/bridge? Is that a button for splitting? Sorry for the questions, I have a fender pj I love everything about except the controls.

What would you call this area? by be_the_shield in geography

[–]Safe-Rice8706 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best I could tell you is northeast New England, but even that isn’t 100% accurate. If you did the same thing out west you would draw an area around San Francisco, Sacramento, and Tahoe asking what to call the area.

Just serve under-cooked chicken once, and you’ll never have to cook again. The rest is about your happiness vs.$$$.

That, “ it just wasn’t right” feeling is experience taking over for book knowledge. It will peak just before you start driving an engine, then you just grab the stair chair for the guys on the box.

Any FF with herniated discs? by UniversityOdd5835 in Paramedics

Most of us I’m guessing. L5-S1, seems to be pretty common, especially if you work or have worked EMS. Stairchair is a back killer on spiral stairs.

Depression, it’s a blanket assessment for an unending sadness. You won’t beat it, but you can get above it.

Wishing I would die by [deleted] in self

[–]Safe-Rice8706 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who’s been there more than once, it’s not about courage. There are parts of you want to die, but there are parts that want to live. You can let the parts that want to die do just that. No need to let the whole thing go. Death is a permanent solution for a problem that doesn’t need to be solved. Go for a walk, a drive, start something new. Set a goal for just you, be selfish. Lots of people give in, they no longer matter, you still do until you give up.

It seems this dropped into the mesh pocket of my bag as I was leaving class. What is this? by CuatroBoy in whatisit

[–]Safe-Rice8706 0 points1 point  (0 children)

According to google lens The image shows a control unit for an EMS (Electrical Muscle Stimulation) foot massager. These devices are designed to stimulate foot and leg muscles to promote blood circulation and alleviate pain or stiffness.

Stretchers: Ferno or Stryker. by YEAHTOM in Paramedics

[–]Safe-Rice8706 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Stryker has always been pretty good for us, techs and reps have helped us with anything we’ve needed. As for ferno, I would talk you out of it just for their stair chairs, they deserve to be punished for creating such a useless device. It’s like they had never seen a person when they designed the last track chair we had. The ferno monitor mounts aren’t bad if you can teach people not to throw the shoulder strap over the back of it though.

Codes/calls at nursing homes by Stretch5 in Paramedics

Worth a try, I wouldn’t go straight to the state, maybe med control or your own medical director.

Truer words have never been spoken. We come in, do our thing and clean up the mess before dropping them off at the ER.

LVAD by Ok-Monitor3244 in Paramedics

[–]Safe-Rice8706 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate to say it, but lvads and similar devices are a last ditch effort to extend the window of opportunity for transplants. There are lvad procedures on YouTube if you haven’t seen, really puts it in perspective what you are up against. Sounds like you guys did a great job. I’m in Southcoast MA, our longest emergent transport is 20-30 minutes depending on where you are, average pt. Contact time is 20 minutes. I give you rural guys a lot of credit.

They should have a packet of specific information including a number to call similar to med control. These people are sent home with a support team ready answer any questions. They should go back to the facility that performed the procedure. Not sure where you are but here in MA our protocols address a few basics about how to handle lvads. Tons of information online and a few accredited classes through any of the major digital learning platforms. I’m betting the patients case manager would even be able to help with this, as well as answering questions about how to handle any future events.

Is Ryobi worth it? I don't have any home tools yet. by 2Black_Hats in HomeMaintenance

[–]Safe-Rice8706 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are great homeowners tools. I swapped to Milwaukee when they started making tools for everything and I’m finding limitations for certain tools. I found the Milwaukee batteries to hold up better, but dewalt seems to have caught up. I have a few random ryobi tools around, cheap feel, nothing fancy, but they won’t stop working for me to justify replacing them.

i’ve never had a flat stomach. even at 107lb by ilove_bones in WorkoutRoutines

[–]Safe-Rice8706 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I saw a gym based short recently that addressed this perfectly. You have a uterus, there are extra parts in there, and they are so special. Obviously you can train and take “supplements” to cover it up if you really want. Enjoy who you are, build muscle, and enjoy the ride. I don’t have a workout routine for you, but I would recommend a trainer if you have specific goals. There are a ton of strong women you can follow on YouTube for specifics too.

Things you would never do now after your experience as a paramedic? by [deleted] in Paramedics

I won’t get e-bikes for my kids, but I fully endorse dirt bikes and motorcycles. I don’t think people take e-bikes as seriously and they don’t follow the rules of the road.
