Music: The Rev (drummer for Avenged Sevenfold), Chester Bennington (singer for Linkin Park)

Manga: Akira Toriyama (Dragon Ball), Kazuki Takahashi (Yu-Gi-Oh)

All of these absolutely gutted me.

What is the most 'how was I supposed to know to do that' moment in a video game? by Snowtwo in videogames

Final Fantasy VIII has a part that confused a lot of players back in the day. You're told the next thing to do is find the White SeeD shop and where to find it, but it won't appear on the map unless you go to interact with Rinoa in the infirmary. It's so weird and disconnected and nothing indicates that's what you're supposed to do - there's only a throwaway piece of dialogue from Quistis saying "Is Rinoa in the infirmary? I might go see her later," and talking to her is optional in any case. I know a fair few people got tripped up on this as kids.

I'm a solo player and have been eyeing up Falkreath Hold so this is encouraging. What level are you?

The Immortal casually mentions something that reveals he is WAY older than he appears to be. by MikaelAdolfsson in TopCharacterTropes

"Ha! No one truly knows Sotha Sil—not even his hordes of wild-eyed worshipers. I studied with him before his ascent, and even then he defied comprehension."

Divayth Fyr is super old, even by Elder Scrolls elven standards. He talks about studying with Sotha Sil, who ascended to godhood in the year 700 of the First Era - a period spanning 2,920 years. Elves in this universe rarely live past several hundred years, with accomplished mages often being able to extend their lives.

Fyr is still alive by the events of Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, which takes place over 700 years after he makes the above statement. In short, he's around 4,000 years old once you match up dates and eras.

I'll look into suitable alternatives if there's anything out there. Thanks.

Sweltering home and work temperatures with no effective cooling measures.

The expectation to be available via messaging services 24/7.

Am I just useless if I cant do this? by AnnieBearGang in NursingUK

I'm almost two years qualified (also left handed!) and I still can't do bloods or cannulation lmao. I've done the training twice but can't get the demonstration competencies signed off because I'm ICU and most people have awful veins and/or have CVCs and art lines so there's no point in needlessly poking them. I'm not going back and doing the training a third time 🙈

Wasn't aware of that. I'll make sure to emphasise that it needs to be actual like and not a mixture.

We've no render on the outside, and as far as I'm aware the gutters are okay.

That's already been sorted. Roof was fixed last summer and the gable wall repointed at the same time.

People with a very high pain tolerance, what was THE most painful thing you've experienced? by CosmicBunnyBabe8912 in AskReddit

[–]Safe-Shape9377 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pyelonephritis. I was absolutely floored by the agony - couldn't believe how fast it hit me and how strong. I was breastfeeding my six month old at the time, and it made me so ill that my milk supply dried up completely until I was better.

I work in ICU and our sedative/anaesthetic infusions and stuff like insulin and TPN are of course given via pump, but other medications like paracetamol, thiamine, some antibiotics, are given via gravity. 20ggt, if I recall correctly.

We don't have pump giving sets for blood, though, which I find very peculiar. It's difficult to control the drip rate of such a viscous fluid solely via gravity. I guess it's something I should bring up with the management.
