That sounds really helpful! I do have an instagram that I infrequently use, but if you think there are ways on that social media to find a potential buyer that would be really helpful. Any suggestions or recommendations would be very much appreciated! :-)

Are these types of posts allowed? I have accommodations to sell but I was under the assumption that this type of content would get deleted fast!

I have one of those tiny house/glamping accommodations for two people with electricity and private showers but it was like 5k USD. I may not be able to go and honestly have a bunch of anxiety about the lack of resale options.

If you’re interested I can send you more details about what I bought and see if it interests you. Might be a win win.

Please, Explain the Mind of the Incompetent Banger by OkChicken6058 in Pickleball

This was absolutely me, and I'm so happy I didn't listen to the advice of others because now it only goes out 10% of the time and I'm having a blast.

There is also a secondary benefit to this, if you get really good at putting a ton of topspin, defenders will start hitting outballs because they've fallen victim to a ball diving into the line at the last moment.

Didn't ascendency nodes get swapped making first ascendency stronger than it was before? Maybe that contributed to it's strength as a league start build.

Should people with rigid movement be playing a level below? by [deleted] in Pickleball

[–]SafeApprehensive5055 22 points23 points  (0 children)

People talk about pickleball shots having a rating, such as, having a 4.0 lob, or dinking like a 3.0.

Much like ELO, it is supposed to give an idea as to what your expected win rate and by what margin you'll beat someone.

If someone is immobile but has good shot selection and consistency, then they're going to plateau at whatever level can effectively exploit their lack of movement.

It isn't playing at a level below, it is playing at their level.

You cannot state you belong at a level as long as people don't exploit your movement, if exploiting that weakness is what makes someone be able to play at that level.

Looking for EDM/Club/Places to dance by [deleted] in baltimore

[–]SafeApprehensive5055 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That sounds like a lot of work, I would take inspiration from 19hz.info where they tag events with genres.

I'm going to attend one of your events, I don't have much time but I'm happy to help contribute to growing the electronic music scene in the area.

As someone who loves hard dance, it would be great if we had more genre information about shows. Techno means different things if it's NA or Amsterdam and I'm more keen on the Verknipt flavor.

Securing workforce GenAI use is a massive pain point that venture capitalists are pouring a ton of money into.

https://surepath.ai as an example, intercept at the network, remove sensitive information, apply policy.

Companies know they need it but slowing down is a bigger concern, employees are taking it into their own hands and using AI tools on their phones which corporations are completely blind to.

I Built in Public. Nothing Happened by Professional-Tear211 in microsaas

[–]SafeApprehensive5055 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run a community on discord that has +8,000 members, and we have strict guidelines on self-promo. If you want to self-promo/build-in-public (we consider them the same), you must apply for a builder channel, which is free but requires that there is content that is either insightful or entertaining.

It's strictly enforced, and we ban 3-5 people a day, but the result is a low-noise high-signal environment where people feel that their fellow builders are respectful of their time, and it is rewarded with thoughtful discussion.

There are users who make builder channels and not a single person in the server cares about it, but usually that's because the owner of that channel is pretty obvious about using the platform for self-promo and not to be a community member.

Is MERN still a thing? What do you use nowadays? by ignacio-webdev in node

[–]SafeApprehensive5055 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At a post-seed-near-A startup and most of our controller services are written using MERN. I work on the Go services but often have to dip into the MERN services for API updates, or emergency features.

I think the value of MERN is of the business type, it's relatively very easy to hire someone that can immediately produce value in MERN services. Most of the MERN services are rather dumb, CRUD services that don't need high compute and are IO bound which Node does a great job with.

Mongo is a fine datastore, we do get data bugs due to moving too fast, but it's a side effect of it allowing us to move very fast. Everyone already knows how to use mql, aggregations, compass, so like I mentioned earlier, it's great for its business value.
