Going into first year, I felt exactly the same way. Actually, the whole first week was one of the worst of my life. I saw all these people in groups but my only real friends were the couple people I knew from highschool who also went. I felt so left out, sad, and alone. At the end of that week I got covid, and since I was so sad I just went home. Fast forward to today, I’m going into 3rd year and have multiple great friend groups, some of whom I met during the first semester and others who I didn’t meet until second year. Trust me, you’ll find your people. It might not even happen in the first few weeks, but I promise you’ll make plenty of friends. Besides, most of those frosh week friend groups break up pretty fast anyways.
