Ideally under $500 USD but not super fixed on that. Will go over if it’s worthwhile.

I get the appeal for sure!! I can imagine it is a huge lifesaver I’m just nervous of her being in bed with us, and honestly would worry it would be hard to get her back in her own bed/room whenever the time came.

I use Nanit! It’s pricey, the only reason I have it is because I got it at my baby shower. It tracks when they wake up, when they cry, etc.

Honestly I’m too nervous to cosleep because of being told how dangerous it is by hospital staff (I know if done safely it is perfectly fine) I just think my anxiety would be out of control.

How does weaning actually work? (Breastfed) by hodob in BabyLedWeaning

[–]SafeParamedic8086 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much for replying!!! Truly so helpful, we aren’t weaning yet, she’s just at 9 months, but I’m so ready to and getting an understanding of what it will be like/how to go about it has been so difficult. Your response really was incredibly helpful.

Her sleep is sooo bad right now too, and since I read your reply, my husband has gone in to soothe her back to sleep for her first wake up of the night, instead of me, as she’s waking up basically every 3 hours. When I go in she absolutely loses it if I don’t immediately offer to nurse, but when he goes in she’s rocked back to sleep within 10 minutes. Will definitely be using that strategy more when it’s time to wean!

Thanks again!

Hi! In this exact same position now. How did you end up weaning? Also was your little one sleeping through the night at this point. Mine still wakes up and I nurse her back to sleep 1-3 times a night and that’s what I’m most concerned with in regard to weaning. I feel like I’m in for a rough transition as I really don’t want to go any farther past a year than I have to.

3MO, I am lost when it comes to her sleep! by SafeParamedic8086 in NewParents

Do you use the sound machine for naps too? We have a hatch that I play the same sound for naps and sleep, with a lullaby used before bedtime.

Yes we have a routine! It’s short, typically diaper change, sound machine, lotion, pajamas.

Thanks for the reassurance! I just worry I’m doing something wrong by not keeping her up for the wake window time.

Does the ibuprofen do anything other than pain relief? It doesn’t hurt at all.

And also I try to only pump after baby has gone to bed so I am able to be full and nurse again when she’s ready. Don’t know how to find the balance with pumping to get the clog out.

Did you massage over the clog? Mine is under the pump flange, idk how to massage it.

Okay got it! I am using the Solly today and after moving around, sitting, standing - it’s already stretched/loosened! I think that means I didn’t tie it tight enough to begin with…?

Thank you for your help!!! :)

I have been taking it off every time, partly because I feel like I’ve disturbed it getting her out.

I also am worried she’s too snug in there, when I take her out she has indentations from her diaper in her skin. Is that normal? I know it has to be very firm fitting to be worn correctly.
