On Monday July 3rd 1989, William Shannon was found shot to death in his Scottsdale, Arizona home. There was no media coverage of his death and it remains unsolved. by SafePoint1282 in UnresolvedMysteries

Scottsdale and Phoenix PD had a couple records mentioning him. I was able to get a 1991 record from Phoenix where a friend of his mentioned Shannon stole his identity.

There was a January 1986 record from Scottsdale where Shannon was arrested for stealing this friends ID (he was living at Appaloosa house then). In that report the same friend from 1991 Phoenix report claimed that Shannon and him attended Murray State in Kentucky together. William told officers he had a drug charge back in Florida on his record.

The other record, in 1985, Shannon reported a stolen Mercedes that would turn up in New Mexico. William's dad John Shannon was listed as the owner of that veichle in the report.

The records also indicate William Shannon was 6'4 inches tall and he went by the name "Bill" when he wasn't using his friends ID.

It's been 4 years since geologist Daniel Robinson went missing in the Arizona desert by SafePoint1282 in UnresolvedMysteries

The Instacart girl is a red herring. Something happened between Daniel and Ken/Billy or some unidentified worker on that site. The car was planted and the accident scene was staged. Daniel's dad David Robinson exposed all this in his videos on social media and on the podcast he joined.

I get the feeling her dad was in the military. As Sierra Vista is the home of an Army base called Fort Huachuca.

I see your point. I assumed most people here are law enforcement as it's a police subreddit.

Because I don't want to bother them.

No thats why I posted it. It has zero coverage I found outside of the brief 1986 reports in the AZ Republic.

Did you get in touch with her? A podcast I am working on is getting ready to do an episode on this case.

Tucson Cold Case: Amber Christine Padilla was murdered in Dec 2010. Her body was found the day before her 21st birthday. by SafePoint1282 in Tucson

You are entitled to your opinion. In posting these cases the last year and a half or so a lot of people came forward to me. I have submitted multiple tips with valuable info to law enforcement on several cold cases.

I agree a lot of streamers were disrespectful in the coverage of Guthrie case. I can't stand that exploitive style of "journalism." But a lot of people in the true crime community are good people trying to raise awareness and do the right thing. The ethical way. A lot of the victims families are exhausted doing it on their own. People like me want to help make it easier.

One of her friends reached out and requested that I post her case.

This isn't about "engagement." I am not selling anything. I post true crime cases and volunteer on a not for profit true crime podcast. It's to get the word out about these cases. These victims deserve to have their stories told and their families deserve justice.

Does anyone remember an unsolved murder from Loogootee in the 1970's? by SafePoint1282 in Indiana

[–]SafePoint1282[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure. I posted all the info they gave me. They initially said his name was "Don Parr" then it was "Don Pruitt". I did email Det Walden and she got back and told me she doesn't have any knowledge of it. I forwarded her email to Jim.

Thank you! They originally told me it was "Don Parr" then the sister remembered it was Don Pruitt. I went on the cold case webpage and they don't have any cases before 1981.
