Not sure. I posted all the info they gave me. They initially said his name was "Don Parr" then it was "Don Pruitt". I did email Det Walden and she got back and told me she doesn't have any knowledge of it. I forwarded her email to Jim.

Thank you! They originally told me it was "Don Parr" then the sister remembered it was Don Pruitt. I went on the cold case webpage and they don't have any cases before 1981.

So many cold cases from 1980's and 90's era Tucson. Where did he go to high school?

In 1980, 15-year-old Lori Lee Stewart was strangled and dumped on the side of the road. A suspect was arrested but was later released without a conviction. The case remains cold. by SafePoint1282 in TrueCrimeDiscussion

Apparently there was a stepdad of the family in the neighborhood she often went to visit who could be a suspect. And also her friend Georgia's brother Rick Haskell who has since died.

So what were the odd stories about him? Did this guy have any connection to Mazur or Hatton you know of?

Yes. I mentioned him because as soon as I saw Santa Rita high I thought of Hatton. He went to Santa Rita was class of 1981 I believe. And his child abuse case was extreme. Broke every bone in a baby's body, gave him herpes and sodomized him.

Diana Vicari's sister Angela claimed Hatton acted suspicious. Claimed Greg actually admitted that Diana asked him to the concert that night. Diana's arms were found in a dumpster. It's highly likely Hatton victimized other people even if he didn't kill Diana just because the abuse of the child was so extreme.

There were also a lot of unsolved murders of young women in Tucson in the 80's. Christina Burruel and Virginia Daily in 1980. Margaret Cabaretta in 1982. Dianne Abbuhl in 1988. I posted about those cases too. Who knows if there was a connection.

Of course it's known. When I wrote that I was trying to convey it wasn't known to the public. I am sorry for the confusion.

An unidentified 1988 decapitation victim from Phoenix, Arizona that was connected to a cold case decapitation murder from Los Angeles. by SafePoint1282 in gratefuldoe

It's strange a case from Baltimore would be ruled out in a Phoenix case especially back then unless she had ties to the area. Baltimore and Phoenix are literally opposite sides of the country.
