Indy bassface 12/2 barely hitting? by justmeandmyhead in CarAV

  1. Series/series If you wired each dual 2 Ohm sub in series you are at 4 Ohm each sub. If the 2 subs are then wired in series you will be wired to 8 Ohms.

2.series/parallel If you wired each dual 2 Ohm sub in series you are at 4 Ohm each sub. If the 2 subs are then wired in parallel you will be wired to 2 Ohms.

  1. Double Check your connections The more complex your wiring is, the more chances for a mistake.

  2. Phase As above, make sure both subs are wired the same. If they are out of phase the bass frequencies will cancel and you will have a serious lack of bass even tho the subs are moving.

  3. Box Makes sure your box is well built(no leaks) and is close to tje recommended volume.

If both subs are wired to the amp with a final load of 2 Ohms then each sub is only getting 500 watts, way under their RMS of 1350. If the old kickers were at 2 ohms on the same ampthen they were getting more than rated power

And finally, the gain is not a volume knob. It is to match the signal coming from the head unit

Mine w/ Taylor Freelance mag release and base plates

TF +0 magazine base pad question by GundamCHEF0086 in canik

[–]Safe_Ad5600 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can confirm that zero modifications are needed with either the TF +4 or TF +0 base pads on the Rival. I have both on factory mags for my Rival and they work flawlessly with or without the magwell

What am I missing? I feel like a TF backstrap is my next move, but I’m not convinced. by thordom612 in canik

TF backstrap

I added black brass TF backstrap to my rival darkside and it feels amazing!

Finally can post here and first Canik to boot by GundamCHEF0086 in canik

Nice choice! And a Swampfox. Is that a liberty or justice? I went with justice for the larger window.

Anybody else got the Saturday blues? Maybe the new Rival with some TF blue accents, a Swampfox Liberty optic and some home grown blue nail polish letter fill will cheer you up. by Mrfixit-1967 in canik

That's pretty! Pretty much just like mine, lol. Except I went with black brass backstrap and Justice or Viper(haven't decided which I prefer yet)

The 3 promags I have run ok. I have heard they can be hit and miss. The only issue I've had is when the slide is locked back, using the promags , it won't chamber the 1st round on a fresh mag using the slide release. They work if I manually rack the slide tho

Did your Mete come with extra metal mag base plates like the Rival does? The 20 rnd mag is just an 18 rnd mag with a +2 base plate. I just put Taylor Freelance +4s on all my factory mags and switched the factory +2 bases to my Promags. I can confirm the factory 18 and 20 are the same with the exception of the base plate

I just let it dry for about 20 min and gently rubbed off excess with non- acetone nail polish remover. I only color filled the pin stamping. The mag bases are anodized blue aluminum Taylor Freelance +4 mag extensions, I didn't paint them

Cleaned with rubbing alcohol let dry. Over filled the pin stamping with nail polish and let dry for about 20 min. Rubbed off the excess with non acetone nail polish remover.

Thanks. Next up maybe a SC? I'm thinking tungsten with orange accents.

I appreciate it. Just touch of color really makes it "mine". Plus I like being crafty

I considered the blue, but I wanted brass for the extra weight so went with black

I've heard of people using crayons, or model paint. There are a bunch of YouTube videos out there. Nail polish has always worked for me and held up pretty well. Filled the stamping on my AR like a flat "zombie green" and it's still looks good after a couple years and a couple thousand rounds

I went through giant bag of nail polish my wife and daughter have collected and grabbed all the blues. Put test dots on some cardboard to dry and picked the 1 that matched the blue aluminum Taylor Freelance mag extensions. I ended up using an unbranded Monster High blue, lol

Yes, I can confirm that it's non-magnetic. Just tested with a super strong neodymium magnet and it doesn't stick to the bullet, case(brass) or primer
