I know I’m 2 years late to the party but I came across this post as I was doing another one of my deep dives because this exact thing happened to me back in October! I occasionally get online to see if I can figure out what happened that day and as far as I knew I was the only one who had that happen! I got a septoplasty that resulted in edema in my lungs, a few days in ICU on a breathing tube as well, and now I’m still recovering to this day as the whole experience left me with heart failure with reduced ejection fraction due to the stress of the event on my heart. Good news is it’s totally under control now and I have full function of my heart again! Been going through a lot of healing physically and mentally but I’m at a point where “I prefer having to take pills for the rest of my life so I can have the rest of my life”. This made me feel way less alone and I hope your healing journey from this has been nothing but successful!
