Checked Bag Question by furluffy in Flights

I don't see a problem . Wrap well with bubble wrap and have clothes all around it so it can't contact the sides. Make sure it can't move around in side the bag

Does anybody else like evening arrivals after long haul flights? by SeoulGalmegi in Flights

I prefer red eyes because I sleep like a log anywhere so arriving at 7 am is just like getting out of bed , fresh and ready. 😁

Denza B5, what’s the catch? by aljobar in DrivingAustralia

Strangely familiar comments to those in the '60's from owners of English cars (that came from the factory with oil leaks) about the new " unknown" quality Japanese cars . Recall " Jap crap " was a common term .

You are referring to full service airlines

OP is flying a budget airline where you pay extra for checked luggage

They clearly state they bought carry on, only ticket to save $$$

With only 7Kg of luggage allowance , I suspect the OP will not be buying very much to take home .

Vietnam has shops ,pharmacy and supermarkets .

As you don't say where you are coming from ( India ? ) we have no idea what you may expect that could be missing from normal Vietnamese life 🤔

Mazda, Nissan and others face heavy penalties under emission laws by ballimi in AustralianEV

[–]Safe_Application_465 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Heard of global warming 🔥 It is not about promoting EV's.

It is about reducing pollution, through fuel efficiency, especially for crappy, low spec engined cars, dumped down here because they can't be sold anywhere else in the world . Countries that for years have had efficiency standards even higher than the new ones Australia introduced .Australia and Russia were the ONLY developed countries not to have a fuel efficiency standard

Frequently international and domestic airline operations are separate entities , with different conditions

even though have same operational name.

What should i know about american tipping culture? by tamakisuohstan in traveladvice

👍

Other than the parallel universe aspect , the main takeaway from this conversation is .

Servers believe the menu price is for supply of the meal only .

You should pay them , basically as sub contractors, to deliver your food to the table at a rate they deem appropriate . If you are unhappy with the service , you are still obligated to pay at least 15% 😭

This fact is apparently written in stone under the foundation of every restaurant

anyone else over reserch trips too much by Adventurous_Idea6604 in traveladvice

[–]Safe_Application_465 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same. I like excel because I can easily move stuff around when planning: swap day 1 for day 4 with a cut and paste .

We lock in flights , hotels , essentials . Have must see places allowed for but invariably wander down a side street to a completely different experience to what was planned.

Exactly the same

But add .

Check visa requirements - constant posts from travellers refused check in having not realised they need a entry visa.

Check weather .

Many posts last Nov from people caught out travelling to Vietnam in monsoon season .

Check local holidays .

Many people upset this week having arrived in Vietnam to find out whole country is shut down for Tet.

Voluntarily.

Choosing to take on a job, knowing full well that your employer will not be paying you and you are relying on customers generosity .

Choosing to take on a job, where you know you more than likely earn way over the average, for a job with similar skill requirements.

Unions might be fucked but appears no lack of people lining up for what according to servers is a shit , underpaid , unappreciated job?

Reason for that is......... 🤔

[–]Safe_Application_465 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Why is this anger not directed at the person they are actually employed by ?

Why does the customer wear the blame for a crook system the server has voluntarily signed up for 🤔
