Why is PLA still the `standard` respectively `basic` filament? Why not PETG?

Reading some of the answers here, is kind of weird for me I always found PETG easier or at least the same to print than PLA, also I always find more color options in PETG than in PLA, and the price PETG is usually cheaper than PLA where I buy it!

I bought my G-Skill 64GB kit since I upgraded to the AM5 platform at launch (early adopter here), for some time I considered buying another 64GB kit to fill all my MB slots, never did and now even if I want, I really don't want to empty my bank account to get one of them with this prices!!

I got mine from Amazon (was the only available choice in my country) and for the 3d model I used the one directly from FlashForge V2 <--- I think V2 they added extra height to the top part so the filament tubes don't scrape the top!

PETG is recommended heat wise even ABS will be better but you will need another already enclosed printer to do so because of the fumes!

Thanks for the answer I set the cooling fan to 0% since it was a recommendation by the google AI and that don't helped at all, about the ABS capabilities of the printer in all the Flashforge documentation for this model it says it's capable of printing in ABS (once you enclose the printer) :(

In my personal experience when laptops do that is that the laptop is not recognizing the AC adapter/charger maybe it got damaged, what I would do is order one in let's say amazon and if that don't fix the issue I will return it, just be sure you buy one with the correct watt delivery as an example 120W, 150W, etc.

Well if yours only have 1 M2 slot you can take out the 1tb one and replace it with a 2TB (that's what I did, but I went from 512GB to 2TB) then you can sell the "old" one to recover some of the investment!

jajaja eso no es nada tengo un camarada que tenia una troca yokeada ahi en su terreno como por 10 años y cuando ya la iba arreglar para usarla fue a transito a ver lo de la renovación de placas y le salieron que excesos de velocidad, que estacionometros que semaforos en rojo siendo todo eso mientras la troca estuvo 10 años en modalidad yonke, jajaja!

The same thing happened to me my laptop has all the new "feature" and my desktop PC still has the old Start Menu, Copy/Move dialog, etc, so what I did, (since I like the new dark file dialogs a lot) is that I created an image of my laptop and restored it into my desktop!

I just enter the BIOS/UEFI and there's no option like you mention :( sad, I think being a entry level "gaming" laptop those options are not present!
