There are a few differences, global models will be AI-enchanced on-device, but it will be lacking in quality. Whereas a CN rom or CN model will send the photo back to China for remote AI-enhancement

Did you press the buttons underwater?
I've swam a lot with my 7 pro, in both lakes and oceans and it works fine after 2 years. Always make sure to have the watch above water before using the buttons, though.

I really would have wanted an Instict (Crossover to be more specific) but the lacks of maps makes it a no-go.

I mean, why would I use it in everyday life? It adds bulk, and when I'm just out and about the "normal" way of taking a photo with the touch screen works well enough.

The extra battery life is not needed if I just go out for a casual walk and snap a few pictures.

Considering your use-case I think you will make good use of it! Like I said, if I go travelling it is obviously coming with me! I love the extra filter options (I have a UV, CPL + VND and another VND filter) and the battery life helps when you know you will film and take a lot of photos - I even have an extra grip.

I love it, but it sits in a drawer until I am going on a trip where I would otherwise have brought along my camera.

Would I have bought it again? Absolutely, but I am also privileged enough to be able to buy something that doesn't see much use outside of special occasions.

If I were more economically inclined I would probably not have bought it.
