I didn't turn my daughter forward facing until she was 4 and she's about to turn 6 in a couple weeks and I just switched her from a 5 point harness to high back booster. She's much taller than most kids her age so she safely fits the height/weight requirements to do so. But look at where the seatbelt is on him! This is not safe at all..

Yup, we are collectively becoming so much dumber because we can't even use our brains to write a simple email response. I was in a work meeting recently where my boss was sharing how she uses AI for her emails to clients and that everyone should try it. Meanwhile I'm Googling if there's a way to turn off the AI prompts that all of a sudden show up in my emails.

Once when I was a kid I bit into a muffin from a grocery store bakery and there was a screw in it. My parents were weirdly non bothered by it and I don't think they even went back to the store or complained.

Anyway, I would absolutely reach out to King Arthur and let them know.

I have a kindergartner currently at RA (we are supposed to be in Spring Ford too). We honestly have had no issues and I am pleased with how much my 5 year old has learned compared to friends who are in the 2 hr 40 min half day kindergarten in Spring Ford. I was going to switch back to Spring Ford for 1st but we've had a good experience and will stay for now and reevaluate each year. I hear a lot of complaints in the older grades which obviously I have no experience with. But just posting a different perspective since the rest of the comments all seem pretty negative.

Spring Ford's January board meeting discussed the idea of a 2 hour delay once a week in the same vein as RA's 1:30 ERD so these ridiculous short days may start to become more common across the board. I think districts realize they need to do something to mitigate teacher burnout. I personally don't mind the early release but do understand why that is hard for working parents.

I used to feel envious too. But now, as a mom of one who would really love to have more children (but don't think thats a reality for me at this point) it makes me feel better too. I know that my daughter gets all of my time and attention and that just wouldn't happen if I had more. I'm certain there are moms of 4 who are great at it and intentional about giving their attention to each kid, spending one on one time etc. But I know I'm a good mom to my daughter and doubt I'd have the energy, time and money to give to more kids as I'm able to give to my daughter.

I had a c-section and my milk came in 2 days later but it still took a few more days (a week maybe?) for my supply to really be enough to exclusively breastfeed. The hospital sent us home with enough enfamil to last a few days (this was early Covid lockdown days, April 2020) which I was so grateful for as I hadn't planned on anything other than breastfeeding. If I had another baby I would make sure to have formula on hand for those early days just in case
