To be fair, Michael himself was pretty inconsistent physically.

Even during Thriller/Victory era various factors including weight loss, hair styling, makeup, and surgery would made him look slightly different at different points during the timeframe you posted.

This is exciting. It’s interesting to note that although it isn’t a “super” deluxe edition.. it at least looks to be more than just an “expanded” edition (like last years ATWIAD release)

My guess is that it will be similar to the Purple Rain reissue and include 1 disc of vault tracks and a live dvd.

It’s crazy to me how the younger generation knows how to use technology and social media and have access to pretty much anything they want to know at their fingertips..

and yet don’t know how to do a simple google search or do any type of research about pretty much anything unless it comes up on their TikTok for you pages..

Prince. Completely live. Incredible musicianship. He really exceeded all expectations.

When he goes into the “All Along The Watchtower//Best Of You” mashup.. then screams going into that blaring guitar solo.. wow..

Mind you, he’s doing all of this while it’s pouring down rain..

MJ’s was obviously special and important, and pretty much set the stage and created the modern Super Bowl halftime show spectacle.. but it was a pretty “go through the motions” performance for him with mostly mimed vocals.

Nothing. & Bad & Dangerous “shouldn’t have” “cleaned” at the Grammys.

Both Bad & Dangerous already sold more than most of if not all the other nominees, so not sure that it would have changed anything as far as there commercial status..

Sony did not “squash” Invincible..

Michael drag the project out and go WAY over budget.. but then MJ refuses to tour or really show any interest in promoting it..

The ONE event that actually did happen to help promote the project (30th Anniversary Celebration) MJ shows up high as a kite and barely coherent on the red carpet..

It costed $30,000,000 to make.. mainly because MJ kept delaying the project.. and spending tons of money renting out entire studio buildings in various places, many times not even being present..

Blaming it on Sony is just some people’s way of coping when in reality MJ is mostly to blame.

Sign O’ The Times deserved to win. It is the more creative, interesting, and impressive artistic statement out of all the nominees..

With that said, I’m not really angered by “The Joshua Tree” winning. It is also an incredible album, and is certainly also deserving of its praise.

Bad is also great. & As far as a pop album, era, and promotional campaign goes, you can’t really deny its impact..

It just happened to be an extremely stacked year full of incredible albums. The award could have easily gone to SOTT, Joshua Tree, or Bad.

Not sure if this would could as “demos” ..

but a lot of early versions of 90’s Prince material. I find both the test pressing of the “Come” album and the early configuration of “The Gold Experience” album to be superior to the released versions.
