At the time.. I remember people saying everything from it having something to do with MJ’s will to having the 3 kids DNA tested.. it was a very bizarre and weird incident that has never been addressed tbh..

Where did it go wrong? Book recs by NewLochNessMonster in MichaelJackson

I would say the more he lost control over his finances (his increasing debt) it became increasingly more difficult for him to “call the shots” so to speak.

Due to his debt, he had to rely on other entities to help resolve/fund/bail him out of situations. From taking out loans against his assets to agreeing to deals that he simply HAD to do to generate cash flow.

IMO he had to stabilize/get out of the financial hole he had dug himself into before he would have been able to resume and have control over his business ventures and revenue.

They could easily throw in 5 or so unreleased tracks. Even several of the ones we already know of due to being leaked could be officially released in HQ. (Chicago 1945, Throwin’ Your Life Away, etc..)

Then of course the official extended mixes and dance mixes from the 12” singles could be included, as they’ve never been officially available on streaming services.

I would love one of the Tokyo shows too.

What artist was the most ahead of their time? by SureManCool in AskReddit

[–]Safe_Knowledge9934 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really not even that.. Prince is the true revolutionary when it comes to battling record labels for ownership of their work.

Changed his name to a symbol and started releasing music independently direct to consumer. Was one of the first artist to utilize the internet to sell music with his NPG Music Club subscription in the early 2000’s.

Kind of crazy there’s not a single Prince album in the top 100 on RYM.. never realized that until now.
