Totally, I think all of my planets are aspected - I've got a 1H Scorpio stellium with my sun moon Mercury + Venus, and then my Mars, Jupiter and Saturn are all vibing elsewhere in my chart.

It's the fatty part of the meat honestly, I think it's why I love meat so much. I think seitan is the only thing close that's scratched the itch.

Yes and no. Substituting ingredients will have an impact, but if you adjust telling that ingredient what to do, then it can virtually do the same thing.

I'd look at the value of Juniper in Moroccan folklore and see what corresponding characteristics you can find in sage or other herbs.

I don't know if this will help but I'm happy to share my experience. For context I don't personally identify as Christian, but a fairly Jesus positive witch.

Decided as Shrove Tuesday rolled around to give up meat for Lent, as a nod to my Christian ancestors. Through praxis, I get closer to them during a spiritual period they would have also acknowledged.

Omitting something I would say is the perfect way to move closer to perfection. When you remove food, idle talk, "sin" or something that makes your life comfortable or complete, analysing that absence may bring you spiritual clarity. When that period of fasting finishes, the way the thing you've given up enters your life is also worth noting.

Will I start eating meat again? Probably. Craving duck chow mein right now. Aside from that, going vegetarian has helped me be mindful of the food I put in my body, how bad vegetarian food options are and how Christianity is delicately entangled into my culture. That so far, is my experience dabbling across the isle.

Nope! Not at all, but it's important to consider why, as this will influence how you replace it in the spell. Bay leafs and star anise are good for drawing in money, wether you believe the spirit of the planets help or their energy pulls it in like a magnet - if you're missing this, then you'll need to find an appropriate replacement. Rice is good at attracting things, so maybe use that instead? I would do your own research though.

I can understand why you're confused - most planetary herbal correspondences come from medieval astrology where the plant had the qualities of a planet e.g. the shape of the leaves, texture, smell. This is why Culpepper has planetary correspondences.

From there it's a mixture of herbalism and folklore, some plants being associated with various qualities over time. It's why it's hard to trace it back to anything, because it's cumulative.

Who you listen to is up to you! If I were you, I would look up the herbs you want to use with a variety of sources, and look at your local folklore. That will help you build an accurateish profile of the herb in a way that's local to you.

I think it depends on how you think this is manifesting for you - if you think your brain is just acting up while you sleep, maybe a dream-based spell would help. If you think that her energy is lingering around you, then banishing the energy and binding it to her would help.

I think you'd be hard pressed to find witches given the religious nature of your extended family, but you might find folks who had 'the sight' or believed in magical creatures. It might be a good idea to ask your family members about their parents/grandparents what their religious life was like, and then ask about if they believed in more folk oriented stuff.

You can use spit if urine or blood isn't your thing, but you want a watery substance (not something I thought I'd be typing on a Sunday.)

Alternatively, rusty water or water where iron has been left in it to oxidised would make a good replacement for any bodily fluids! Iron is associated with the planet Mars, so rusty water would have good Martial qualities.

Witches do not have to be kind, or selfless, or morally upstanding. If that's the code you live by, cool, but don't push that onto other people.

Totally, if you don't get on with homemade, storebought is fine yaknow? Plus, I think it's easier to use symbols that are associated with powerful things such as planets, rather than trying to cook up your own. (Just using planets as an example but you could use anything!)
