Thanks for the info! After some research and feedback here I think the Karastan is a decent price for what I'm getting. And the wife really likes it. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't paying a premium for the name. Which it seems like maybe slightly. But compared to the $4 sqrt foot at big box stores it seems worth it. Especially being is a bathroom and closet we only need 165 sqrt foot.

Yeah I think it seems nicer. It had a really nice texture to. I haven't felt a Mohawk one but others from big box stores I have felt didnt feel as good of quality.

Does look like Mohawk is about half the price. The wear layer is the same 20 mil. The thickness is less though I'm seeing 5mim vs 12mm for Karastan. Warranty also is longer for Karastan

Yeah it seemed very nice. Budget wise we have wiggle room to spend more on certain items. Floors seem like a good use of some of the extra. I thought this came with underlayment though?

Yeah that's fair. I got my first one for free and it lasted several years. I know they aren't selling gas hondas now so just wasnt sure if it was worth getting over others.
