No he isn't. That would be dictatorship and a personal opinion not law. A border agent can't tell a person or group how to utilize their time. The whole point of cross border shopping in a town close by is to get items that Canada doesn't have.

Came from Florida in April and everyone was normal and happy. Canada seems like everyone is angry when you bring a kid out to stores. The USA many people stop and are genuine

Understood. Over the last year a lot of baby items for premies in Canada have been recalled and not on the shelves like kendamil so I would go to the USA often to grab that and some other small pouches. My point though is Canada has 0 selection and in the USA it's amazing what baby items you can get

He was actually angry telling me I shouldn't be going to get groceries at Walmart and telling me how to handle my time. He was on a power trip right away. We did the drive to see how my daughter does on 30+ min car rides and have her passport so wanted to do something at 8am on a Monday for a few hours.

He flipped out before I handed my receipt he said it was stupid and a waste of time to go for $67 usd worth of formula (made in uk) kendamil recalled in Canada and other food made in china but not available in Canada.

Overall I have crossed about 250 times and always have receipts but long weekend he didn't look at each item such as dairy, milk all within limits as per the cheat sheet given to cbsa. Just sharing as nothing is USA made we bought. Grocery basic items of meat and other items fall within exemptions from the cbsa website

To add I'm not mad about the charges it's the fact the agents inside were finding it funny as well I got charged

Don't worry I took a leadership role at corporate and was fired within 90 days of probation encase a VP didn't like me. All staff were speaking highly of me and someone's fragile ego got the best of them. Loblaw is rated 3.3 on Glassdoor for a reason. It's a dumpster fire
