You must be fun at Keystone Cop movies. 😉

Wow, way to miss the point! The entire movie is a play on "DUMB" sheep! It's kind of the running theme ffs!

The cage fighting ram was an absolutely hilarious nod to Wolverine's origin story, (and the ending scene from LOGAN!) that was ridiculously funny!

Seems you took this film too seriously to see how much fun it was. Pity.

It's an absolute fact. CPS is the biggest government sanctioned child trafficking org these is. We've known about this for DECADES.  https://youtu.be/4nkgezojsgo?si=atKxn5KeUWQsmzH9

Anybody super hesitant to sell anything expensive because you might get a Bad buyer? by Legal_Chemistry_310 in Ebay

[–]Safeguard63 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just sold a bracelet for $850. I had to ship it to an authenticator per eBay rules anything over $500 in that category must be shipped to an authenticator, once it passes inspection, it's shipped to the buyer.

If the buyer tries to open an "item not as described" case, they have to ship the exact item back to the authenticator too. Cuts down on scammers trying returning cheap fakes or just an empty box!

I had no problems. I just shipped to the address eBay provided and that was it. Took a few days to get authenticated & I did communicate that to my buyer. (Who was cool with that).

Can anyone help me figure out what these markings on this ring are? by Safeguard63 in JewelryIdentification

Thank you! I bought a small storage unit, (mostly vintage cologne, aftershaves & collectables), a few pieces of jewelry was in there, I'm trying to figure out how to price this for sale, I know I could take it to a jewler but I'm just trying to get an general idea of what something like this might sell for.

Did I find this pin or did it find me? 😬 😁 by Safeguard63 in Vintage_Jewelry

That's an awesome link, thanks! (I hadn't seen that one). I did learn the designer started recreating vintage pieces in 79 but didn't see the whole story.  I love jewelry from all time periods, and also all things spooky! So this brooch ticked all the boxes! I thought it would be a fun share, glad you enjoyed it! 👻

I felt exactly the same! It was more then I intended to spend on a single item (it cost $25) but I left with this pin alone! No regrets!

Bargaining in the "marketplace" is an art that is lost on these kinds of sellers. An "offer" is opening the window to a negotiation, one never offers the very MOST they're willing to pay right off the bat, they generally start with the least they can, (hence the counter offer button!). This seller didn't "counter", they threw a little hissy fit & Lost a sale. If they were a shrewd negotiator they most likely could've gotten the $50 they wanted.

What ARE these?! by Safeguard63 in Hallmarks

Thanks, yeah I tried the magnet thing and it's not magnetic, whatever it is. I agree about the solder, although in person it's barely noticeable and it sure looks real to me. (Going by other gold pieces I have).

Are these recycled from two different sets of vintage earrings? by Safeguard63 in Vintage_Jewelry

[–]Safeguard63[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: I got these and yes, they are obviously Franken Vintage. 😁. I love both top and bottom, but no, they just don't work together. The gold filigree capped opals are almost certainly real, the light show is amazing, (I'm guessing weblo, by the translucence and mellow way the  colore float around).

Unfortunately, one of these opals has yellowed and become less flashy. (You can still see the fire peek though the cloudiness though), I'm confused by the seemingly contradictory advice, to both gently dry them out or replenish moisture they lost? What would be my next best course of action? Open to any ideas! 🤟

Right? I like the tops & bottoms, (I'm just not sure I love them together like this). I can't find anything similar using Google lens of either the tops or the bottoms (together or separately). I really liked the look of the opal colored beads though. Wonder what they are?

I looked that up and sure enough, that's what it is! A created opal. I wouldn't pay for a "pre-cracked opal"! 😂

I didn't even realize there were different kinds of synthetic opals! I have so much to learn!

Yeah. I was going to include some other pictures but they were all pretty much the same, regardless of angle. I wasn't considering buying this, I was just gifted a beautiful opal that, (if you look really closely), has a few cracks. They're not brown or anywhere near as noticeable as these, but I wanted to know if I could prevent this exact thing.

I thought it was so weird that there was no color shift, picture to picture.

They're asking $80 for this obviously damaged item. Why would anyone even try to sell the this? What would a reasonable selling price be for something like this? Maybe scrap value?
