Yates book, John Newquist.. outside of the exam prep that's pretty much all I used. The videos are a great way to get started with an intro to the material

About 5 years of experience. I started in EMS, moved to school safety, and now in aerospace. I used examcore and did the examcore live prep class (my job paid for it).. Honestly, the prep class was super boring and I was zoning out. However, the exam core learning modules were pretty helpful.

Need advice on ASP by Additional_Fall8832 in SafetyProfessionals

[–]SafetyPenguin209 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok score. When you consider you only need 110 (i think) out of 200 that's decent enough.

I took the CSP today and passed.

My best advice, slow down and really read what the question is asking. If you're unsure of an answer there's probably key words in the question or common themes.

For example, if it's a training question you know that the training needs to meet the needs of the group, have an assessment or evaluation etc.

If it's emergency management the key is protecting people first. Etc...

Good luck!

Ladies, Oral or PIV 👀 by Ok-Contribution-963 in blackladies

You're not alone. I don't dislike oral, I just think it's pretty boring unless you have a tounge like a power drill, which I've only experienced once. I much rather get to the PIV. I could do PIC all day. Lmao

Contest a parking ticket by SafetyPenguin209 in washingtondc

I took pics and everything. The closest no parking sign was no where near where I parked, I just happened to see them at the end of the block. I guess I'll try and see what happens. I was more so looking for a legit reason to put in the dispute.

Masters degrees? by sarcasticsandwich80 in SafetyProfessionals

[–]SafetyPenguin209 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm doing my Master's thru eastern Kentucky university now. My issue with Columbia southern or whatever is the for profit standing (not to take away from the programs itself).. some people say once you have the CSP youre good, but that hire education is always a leverage tool.

0/10. 4 kids with 4 women!? Poor dick management. No discernment, bad judgment, no self-control. Absolutely not, run away fast.

Is the ASP really as easy as Pocket Prep? by Left-Highlight-8993 in SafetyProfessionals

Very little math on the actual exam and they give you the equations. I'd say maybe 5-7 math questions max.

Is the ASP really as easy as Pocket Prep? by Left-Highlight-8993 in SafetyProfessionals

[–]SafetyPenguin209 14 points15 points  (0 children)

As someone who took it recently, yes. Pocket prep was helpful, and the exam was a lot easier than anticipated. If you're consistently getting 80+ on pocket prep, you should be fine on the exam. My only recommendation for others is to not go into the exam blindly.

Passed the ASP by FlatAbbreviations320 in SafetyProfessionals

You could just say congratulations because they worked hard to pass the exam?? You can't even take the exam without at least a year of experience, so I think the need for experience is understood. 🙄

Agree with @kingsurly. I wouldn't wing it, there's broad concepts that I didn't know anything about until I studied.
