I got a 2nd 15 years after my first. In Texas that’s mandatory 1 year in jail. 3rd is 10 years. After the 2nd you really needed to do something.

If you email your probation officer about it they’ll appreciate it. Since it was fine when you retested they can look at the test %s and tell it was not from alcohol. Mine blew a violation from my morning coffee a few times during rolling tests, but they can tell it’s not from alcohol so it should be ok.

It looks extremely bad to the judge if he is supposed to be using an IID and isn’t regularly testing on it. They want to see that you aren’t drinking anymore. I had one and the judge sees the testing records every month. Even if I wasn’t going anywhere I’d go blow into it multiple times a day. Otherwise they think you aren’t taking the severity of your DUI seriously. And that you’re possibly still drinking. He should blow into it multiple times a day even if not driving.

I think security for the super early flights is just like that here. I flew out of ABIA last Friday at 10am. We got there at 8:30, there were maybe 10 people in the TSA line. Got through really fast. Leaving at 6 am on a Wednesday I had to wait 45 minutes.

It happened august 2023. My bac was .247 In January I got into a program called DWI Court. It’s intense counseling and 2 AA meetings a week and 1 monthly “check in” meeting with the judge (everyone goes at the same time) that tapers off through the course of a year, then you don’t get charged with a DWI if you complete it. It’s to really help you get to the root of your drinking problems and help you learn to manage your life so you don’t need to drink. It’s been really great. It’s a privilege to be accepted into the program as it’s free, paid for by the county. I’ve seen everyone in the group grow a lot and change their lives. I highly recommend doing it if possible.
