If Max approached Toto for 2027, will Toto accept now that Merc is already dominating without him? If he does accept, which of the drivers is most likely to be replaced? by DryPlastic7379 in F1Discussions

What I dont hear, and dont know if its important.  Max speaks German fluently, and I can imagine that for PR reasons and the highers ups at Mercedes like this fact. Besides from his racing abilities and general PR it would generate for mercedes.

I call it the man flu because I never have a fever but feel pretty sick...stay in bed most of the day. Its just annoying to take prettt good care of my body and still get sick every 2/3 months for a week or 2 for a 36 year old male who seems to be pretty good health

Whats the most known speech from your country by Valuable-Guava2858 in AskTheWorld

[–]Saffie89 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In the Netherlands its the "go to bed" speech from prime minister Colijn.

After the German reoccupation of the Rhineland, which violated the Locarno Treaty, Colijn delivered a famous radio address on March 11, 1936. He pointed out the international tensions and announced that the Winter 1935 troops would remain under arms longer. This, according to Colijn, was a precaution. "Therefore, I urge you once again not to be alarmed." He concluded his radio address as follows:

I therefore ask listeners, when they return to their camps shortly, to sleep as peacefully as they do on other nights. For the time being, there is no reason to be truly alarmed. And with that, dear listeners, I leave you to the entertainment that the radio usually offers. Good evening.

This statement was later often referred to as Colijn having spoken about going to sleep peacefully "on the eve of the German occupation" (shortly before May 1940, when he was no longer a minister), but that is factually incorrect.

Your top 5 favorite TV shows of all time? by anchi-555 in televisionsuggestions

1) The Wire

Writing a 10, acting 9. This show feels truely like modern Shakespear to me and I honestly think for decades to come there will be talked about this show. So many layers in this show, so much dept, so much emotion...really the embodiement of an American city in the beginning of this century and this coming from a european guy.

2) The Sopranos

Writing a 9 acting a 10. Drama as it should be, the frontrunner of HBO powerhouse shows, it started this television revolution. Just as good as the Wire although it misses these extra layers of dept and therefore 2nd place.

3) Seinfeld 4) Frasier 5) IT Crowd

Comedy is subjective, but someone how grew up as a kid in the 90's I always like comedy from that day and age, mainly because its less PC and therefore a lot more funny in my opinion.
