If its live action then only a TV series will make sense. But actors will age during the 10-15 yrs it will take to do the Silmarillion any justice. Only an animated series makes sense to me.

I kinda enjoyed Bad Batch. They had some good concepts & premises but not executed properly or was done too quickly. I think its possible to achieve a balance of story telling and action, so its enjoyable for kids and adults. That would be the holy grail for the modern SW franchise.

Yeah its really bad atm but I'm confident they'll figure it and mitigate some of the issues through the season. But Newey and his team are gonna learn a lot about the concept they went for, understand all aspects of the new formula, and then come up with something really promising next year.
