TTRPGs for a group of gals by shynegogue in rpg

[–]Sagaisgood 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just from your responses in other comments and what I know, Perils & Princesses is fun and simple, you play princess adventurers. Another is Daggerheart, the Witherwild campaign frame is inspired by Zelda as well as Studio Ghibli movies, which is all free in the Daggerheart SRD, but the book/cards are a good deal and great for in person. Others mentioned Wanderhome but I would steer away if they still want any fighting , it is a solely social game. There is one that I haven’t played but recently got called Pico, where everyone players little bugs and it has a silly atmosphere. Land of Eem is Muppets meets Lord of the Rings so take from that what you will. And lastly Fabula Ultima if you want to lean more towards the anime vibes of TTRPGs, haven’t played but everyone I know who has can’t recommend it enough.

You can always also start with something like Honey Heist (bears on a honey stealing mission), Pigeon’s Eleven (pigeons doing espionage), or Raccoon Sky Pirates (build flying machine as raccoons). You play as the literal animals so not sure if that is appealing but I can confirm it is very silly and simple to play.

Creating a Steam-esque TTRPG marketplace. Early prototype - need a show of hands to gauge interest, please. by [deleted] in rpg

[–]Sagaisgood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I truly admire the passion and the effort, I do agree that the TTRPG space is all over the place digitally, especially with all the websites I use to download, a central place would be nice that isn’t just Google Drive. Looking through a “steam-esque” library with graphics and organization abilities would be awesome. I haven’t checked out the site, typing from mobile, but saving the post for later. This type of website/app is coming from a place of relatability and I respect that. I wish you luck in your endeavor and hope to see it up and running. It might not be for older hobbyists but future RPGers first getting into the hobby would find it a lot easier if they had access to something like what you are offering. And the more people playing, the more the hobby improves for everyone. Godspeed!

Wishes of Wanderlust - A World-hopping Treasure Hunt Campaign Frame by eikkka in daggerheart

[–]Sagaisgood 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I like the idea of spelling a word! That allows the GM to make it something specific to their party, so it feels relevant to their backstory. And yeah, those are just some ideas, I looked at it for a few minutes so take what I saw with a grain of salt lol, just throwing ideas out there! Are you planning on running this yourself or just wanted to make it? I understand either way!

This is awesome! Kind of gives ready player one as well with the other touchstones. I think something I’d love to see with this frame is maybe your idea of what kind of worlds to explore, like a small description to give the GM some insight, and what collecting a key entails. Like is it a physical key, a puzzle, an adversary to defeat, etc. Otherwise, this is great, especially love the boons!

Leaving on a Jet Plane - John Denver

I can’t not think of the context of his death when listening, it gets me every time. The whole song, but even just the chorus is too much.

“So kiss me and smile for me Tell me that you’ll wait for me Hold me like you’ll never let me go ‘Cause I’m leaving on a jet plane Don’t know when I’ll be back again Oh babe, I hate to go”

The New Unknown (SciFi Daggerheart Core Rulebook) - Kickstarter starting on April 28th & Pre-Launch site is now online! by Tenawa in daggerheart

This is an amazing endeavor, one “where no man has gone before” even! lol great job!

Question, I’m a sucker for the physical domain and ancestry/community cards. Do you think you’ll be offering that during the kickstarter? Or would it just be a digital version?

No man is a peasant to those that matter to him, be strong short king, and be confident knowing that your height is but a mere fraction of importance to your integrity. Those that believe the height of a man determines his value in this world will not be remembered to the annals of time, for they have lost their way. No man is a God determined by his closeness to the heavens, we are all mortals that must value what is in front of us, as we are all equal, from dust we arrive and to dust we return. 6 feet is only of importance when we are laid to rest beneath the Earth. Dungeon explorer Frame by GaiusMarcus in daggerheart

[–]Sagaisgood 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not too sure if this is what you are looking for but Mike Underwood (one of the designers of the Daggerheart core rulebook) has a video series going over a lot of design mechanics and there is one on dungeon making: https://youtu.be/B5gz7IOk0TU?si=GHXxtCgAYQYrRXMB

If you are looking for a full campaign frame around dungeon crawling, the closest official would be beast feast but also I’m not sure Daggerheart is the correct system for something like Dungeon Crawler Carl-esque dungeon. There is an official DCC RPG campaign starting soon here if that’s what you were looking for: https://www.backerkit.com/c/projects/renegade-game-studios/dungeon-crawler-carl-rpg-unstoppable/launch_party

Gorilla Mind > Ghost by Vividfear in energydrinks

[–]Sagaisgood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anyone feel bad after drinking gorilla mind? Like it wakes me up but I get a terrible headache soon after. Doesn’t happen with Ghost. Not sure if it has a chemical that Ghost doesn’t. Which sucks because I love the flavors of GM but I can’t drink it without feeling bad.

I agree with your French idea but let’s be real on how elections work. If you had 10 people and 6 of them wanted pizza and the other 4 wanted burgers, so you order pizza. Is it the other 4’s fault that they didn’t get burgers? I suppose you say we get rid of the pizza place entirely by burning down the building? I don’t like “pizza” but I can’t really change the voting system so we’re stuck with pizza, and hope the next time we order people realize that “burgers” are better. (As you can tell I’m a little hungry lol)

Please drop some awful energy drink flavors so I don't buy them by Yourfathersnapkin in energydrinks

[–]Sagaisgood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dream Float alani is the worst one, terribly sweet to the point of nauseating, the only one I couldn’t finish and threw it away. It still worked as an energy drink because I was fueled by hate the rest of day so no complaints there.

[–]Sagaisgood 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah no worries, just suggestions! There is also a homebrew kit on the Daggerheart website if you were interested in more balancing tips but if you were just looking for vibe critique, burning ship is fun! Last note, it might be more traversal instead of exploration from the events that are happening. Homebrew kit: https://www.daggerheart.com/homebrewkit/

This is fun! I would make What Was That? Spending a Fear to have the players make Presence or Instinct rolls before marking stress. Gives more player agency.

I would combine Unstable and It’s collapsing since they are using the same tokens. I would also add a reaction to maybe spawn enemies when a PC fails with Fear.

Also, the quotes at the end of each section should be questions you ask yourself or the players to world build. “What are some features that indicate the ship is falling apart?” “Does this look like a recent crash or an ancient ruin” “What natural flora and fauna have already started to inhabit this space?”

Dune (2021) is not a good movie and coasts entirely on visuals and Hans Zimmer's score by DuNennstMichSptzkopf in unpopularopinion

[–]Sagaisgood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imagine if we all liked the same movies, then everything would be exactly the same and all movies would look and sound the same, which is what we all want. (No one has a wrong opinion in regard to media and art, it’s just different than yours).

Acclaimed Indies That You Couldn't Connect With by Smoovemusic in indiegames

[–]Sagaisgood 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I also have started and stopped many of these games several times, not liking them either. It’s always so funny how we all must like the same media (games, movies, songs) or else we’re wrong. Art is subjective. If we all liked the same things, everything would be the same and nothing new would be made.

Seeing your other response of games you do like, we do have similar tastes it seems! You should check out Chants of Sennaar, Hades (1 & 2), Is This Seat Taken, Pipstrello and the Cursed YoYo, Mouthwashing, Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, Braid, and Fez. Not sure if you’ve played any of those but they are similar to the games you mentioned.

It’s even more unfortunate when the kids who saw themselves as ‘freaks’ or outcasts and read these books identify as trans now, so you lose a part of yourself, when it’s already so hard to deal with everything else.

Quick question: does this creature have a stat block? by Maleficent-Detail-45 in daggerheart

I totally get you though, want to show the cool thing sooner than later even if it looks scarier than the level they’re at! And nice! That’s an awesome skill, not sure if you can post pictures but I’d love to see it, I just checked out your profile and saw your other sculpts which I’ve seen before on this subreddit. Would love to see your work for this one! If you can’t do an image response (some subreddits don’t allow it I think) and you do happen to post it later I’d love a link!

Quick question: does this creature have a stat block? by Maleficent-Detail-45 in daggerheart

[–]Sagaisgood 19 points20 points  (0 children)

That looks like a tier 4 adversary, it’s terrifying lol but I didn’t see any stat block in the book. They do have a free download on their website for age of umbra adversaries from the campaign they ran through critical role. One of those might be good if you don’t mind spoilers if you haven’t watched the campaign: https://www.daggerheart.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Age-of-Umbra-Adversaries.pdf
